How do I change divisions? Currently here but I need to find the II.1 or something. I mean this is the senior citizen league, correct? I'm sitting in the bottom part of the league for player age and CL. All you guys listened to Orlando Geriatics and now my guys feel bad for hip checking your players afraid their displace your player's new plastic hip!!
Dupa220 my players are .3 years younger then your players on average.
I know... you're in the wrong league too! That's why I said bottom part and not the youngest. The comment had nothing to do with our playoff game (which I'm shocked I took to OT), I was just looking at statistics of the teams to see where I sit with everyone.
You have been a very tough team to play all season long. I hope to win to days game because I am afraid to play three. I hope to finish in the top 4 and I am still rebuilding my team.
tesco... You better start getting younger soon... it looks like you guys left our playoff game today to make it to the Early Bird Buffet on time!
Good series to you also Ziggy! I was hoping my home advantage would give me a fighting chance but alas, I'm fighting for 5th this season.
I warned ya that those little rascals don't move well on ice without spikes in the tires!!
I'm trying to be a tougher team. I'm taking a break on the stadium building next season, updating what I can on the key facilities (can't upgrade the levels that cost $75MM) and going to go out and buy some better talent. I've also got to retire my older players to make way for up and coming talent. All being said, I should be an easier team to beat next season if you're still around.
It is best to have your player spread out over several ages so don't sell all your old guys and buy young guys all the same age. Also if you replace a lot of players at the same time it kills your chemistry which does matter in games.
Hey, yeah I agree. I mean I have it spread out and didn't mean I'm adding a lot. I am getting rid of my older players (3-4) and replacing them with someone that close to the stats... or moving everyone up one line. It's fine, I'm a little weak at Winger position and need a little more shooting power there. The changes wouldn't be that drastic but considering I'm losing to you in OT and SO, I just meant it will be a lose in normal period play. This is the 3rd time I've done the progression. I don't like having old talent that's not progressing anymore (2/6, 1/6) while I'm watching upcoming that's almost equal and sitting around 4/6 CL. It's just me taking talent from the beginning and replacing it with talent I've developed now that I'm a little stronger in the coaching/conditioning facilities. I always have a stable of 15-17year olds that I develop.
A lot of older 3-4's if they have a lot of experience keep playing them. Experience is figured into the game. I play all my up and coming players in my friendly games to get them experience before I move them into the starting line.
I have other strategy. I play all my high quality youth in the regular games even if that means losing games.
I figure it is better to struggle a bit now and get the benefits of having high OR players in the future with tons of experience.
Biggest problem is that some players get to 4/6 3/6 too quick and end up being a waste of effort
Balancing, as Ziggy mentioned, is best strategy. I will be doing that in 3 seasons or so when my current youth is a bit older. for now: im developing the youth and facilities.
