I have been on a roll as of late, and now I have to play Dakota Storm on Friday and on Monday I play Aiziet. Man, there goes my roll, lol. So should I be keeping these lower ranked players that I originally received? I am curious to know how much they will actually increase by next year...Any thoughts?
I don't recall beating you yet.
How much better they get depends on the training facilities/coaches you have.

I would scout them to see. I can tell you this. Of my original 28, I entered this season with 13 original players, and I currently have 10. So, using my model, it's going to mean about 1/3 of your players are going to stay semi-long term. Figure out both a) what the highest AvQ is, and b) if their OR is worth it. For instance, if you have a player whose AvQ is 88, but he's 19 and an OR 135 with a CL of 4/6, to me he's not worth as much as a 16 yo with AvQ of 62, OR of 155 and a CL of 6/6. Also, one piece of unambiguous advice: before the end of your second season, try to buy a goalie with balanced attributes. I recommend a 2:1:1 ratio, and get one who's at least a 90-45-45, if not 100-50-50! That's made the difference between 4th place last season and 1st (so far at least [knock on wood]) this season.
That's awesome advise, I am going to start going through my roster.
My Goalie is 51/34/38 with a avg Q of 54.
Thanks everyone, appreciate it.

OOh he got you on tactics this time too. As for me...I am getting really lucky lately, with 4 straight shutouts. That will soon come to an end.
So I have scheduled two current #1 teams in division III leagues here in America for friendlies. Brooklyn Hornets and Crash Test Dummies, with whom I have a home-and-home.
Yeah, I am still learning the tactics and seen the forechecking was good against stronger teams. I don't think that worked out too well for me, lol.
Good luck with your games...

Thanks. Typically, offense allows as a stronger tactic in this game over active forechecking (I mean that in a head to head sense). Active forechecking, in turn, is more useful against counterattacks. But it is also true that guys in this game find a particular tactic that suits their team and players better.
Your division is much tougher than mine, I expect you to sweep, but I might steal one at home.
Yeah dude well I have learned never underestimate a team near your own strength--I myself have upset (well, tied) twice a team who should have easily beat me (while playing my backup goalie lol). So we'll see. It should be fun!
If the playoffs started today...
1-Check Republic vs. 8-Boston Bashers
2-Dakota Storm vs. 7-Sasquatches
3-The Faketown Fakemascots vs. 6-slavoj Trebisov
4-Aiziet JR Selects vs. 5-Great Success
Of course, the playoffs do not start today, so everyone play hard!
