I'm new to this, and hockey, so was just wandering how is best to set up the lines??
Should I put my best players in Line 1, 2nd best in Line 2 etc or mix them up a bit??
Thanks

Depends on your strategy.
Some people mix them up, e.g to give the first line better offense, the second line better shooting...

yeah. in rl hockey, there are usually two scoring lines and one or two grind lines that can chip in a few goals from time to time. rl teams tend to move the lines around during a game to fit the circumstances. this is by no means the same as rl...but the concept remains the same. setup lines with a given focus (a "checking line" might have forwards with more agr for example), and move them around to suit the opponent (along with tactics changes).
But regardless of line focus, you want to ensure you have the best players on the ice. So generally your top 2 lines have your best players, your 3rd line and 4th lines are for players you are grooming for the top lines. Remember also, depending on your strategy, your fourth line may see very little ice time.
