The thing that I like about handball is that I know nothing about it so this is a pure sports Sim. I would love baseball with draft. That is what I am waiting for.

hm. I mean honestly, of the 3 manager games so far, I know (and love) hockey the best by far in real life, but the manager game for it is (frankly speaking) old and dated by comparison to handball.
I mean sure the differences may seem small but they make a notable difference. I've gotta say, I like the little tweaks (like different facilities costing more or less, and more staff members required depending on game dynamics, etc.)
Also, I really like that player training is much more deep. Instead of just set ratios for different positions, you can choose to train more speed if you want, and it actually helps players who don't use it as their primary attribute.
I mean in hockey, centers need zero aggression. Goalies need zero aggression. How realistic is that?
I don't know... even though hockey is my real life love, handball is my ppm love. Perhaps its because I started so far behind in hockey... but honestly, I think the other stuff would've bothered me eventually anyways.

my words... although my life love is soccer ( which I plan to play at a pretty high level) but my PPM love is handball.
the game i am looking forward to play is basketball. I was considering dropping Hockey but with this new changes it may make it more interesting and less boring.
Not only there is not much to train other than easy and simple ratio but very few managers actually play in the regular season.
if it wasnt for the relegation zone for all non playoffs team, handball could go the same route of hockey.
although i loved the change i was hoping for more dramatic as for example the winner of first half season, the winner of regular season and the top 2 (not including the regular season winners) of the playoffs would play a single match semi and finals for the trophy.
The more strategy, the better it is ....

Ziggy... you have voted 20,000 times in the top art stuff??? Sheeeesh. If ppm's advertising revenue is based on on page views, you probably just paid for tuttle's new Porsche.
Look how many some of they other teams in the world have voted. I was bored two days and did most of it then. Don't know if I will do much more.
Completely didn't realize that Europe doesn't change daylight savings time til the end of the month.
I got totally thrown off as to why our games weren't played yet. Looks like game times are 6:00 pm E.S.T. until the end of the month.

Ug. I hate tactics sometimes.
I like how I played "pivot" shooting style and my pivot had only 1 shot on goal. My backs on the other hand had 18, 13, and 9. If I wanted my backs shooting that much, I would've had my shooting style set to "backs."
Also, I think it's amazing that even though I instructed them to emphasize pivot shooting, two of my backs thought it prudent to KEEP shooting even though they clearly forgot their glasses at home, and had four broken arms between them.
I mean seriously... 5 goals in 22 shots? Not only did they deliberately disobey the coach, but they were utterly horrible at what they actually decided to do.
Fckers
I mean seriously... if I'm gonna lose, I'd much rather it be on the back of a strategy that I've chosen, rather than whatever the hell that crap was.

Oh btw. I am really curious about the draft thing. After I read the article and comments below it ( I read it in the czech version, there are like 31 pgs. of comments under it ) I felt really confused. Just hope that they will make the rules clear.
Given that you're one of 5 teams in the U.S. with a team rating of 30 or more, yeah... I'd say your team is probably pretty decent lol.
I think they said that more information about the draft system (and the other stuff) would be coming. I wouldn't try too hard to figure it out before they even release all the information on it.
What I'm curious about is the new finance options. I'm concerned about balancing issues. I'll have to see how much "more" money you might be able to get with options 2 and 3.
I think that they have to be particularly careful with how option 3 is balanced, since managers have the ability to change targets mid-season. Managers shouldn't be drastically rewarded for using a "step-up" method... ie. starting the year saying you'll finish above 8th (so that you can ensure money from the first two quarters), only to bump it up to a target of 4th or 3rd (something much higher and more elite) once you've had some time to build a substantial lead.
I mean, the whole reason that managers should be rewarded with "bonus" money is for taking enhanced risk by "predicting" their position in the standings. If you allow them to move their prediction around, you're actually decreasing the risk they're taking. You've gotta be darn sure that the system is very well designed..
