Soooo what I'm seeing is to make more people scout and attend drafts. They need to make the drafted player better?

Nah. I have a low SA compared to others so this draft will put me towards the bottom and with a low SA comes a LOW OR. So not worth it, unless I get that 1 in 10000 player. Look at what Outsider got for a B, OK AVQ and good OR to start, so he has a player who will either make the team or make some coin.

yeah, but one very real benefit of scouting and paying attention to the draft is that if everyone skipped it or blew it off... mojo would be able to freely snap up 2-3 A players in each draft.

I mean... if you guys EVER wanna be able to compete with his team, I tend to think it'd make sense to care about the draft (if not for any other reason than giving him some competition in getting good players).

I see that Camrawrn decided to play today's game with a lineup full of goalies.

It's been AGES since I've seen a team with shooting strength below 20. I thought it was a glitch until I noticed that he recently started a camp.

Heh, yeah, I put all of my starters in camp and didn't even bother setting my lineup.

Wow. USA currently sits in the last position to still qualify 4 teams for international tournaments next year. I took a quick look and I don't think any of the teams right below us have a chance to win more points this season, so we may be safe.

I haven't checked the "active teams" numbers on the national page, but I feel as though US handball gets more shallow every season.

Looking through divisions II.2 and II.3, there are SEVERAL dead teams. In all of division III there's really only a few noteworthy teams.

If all the active teams were consolidated, I doubt we'd even have enough for 3 tiers in handball.

I don't think that's likely to happen. I think that they base that stuff on the number of managers in a country (which includes all sports). I think the US is still good enough in that metric to stay independent.

Besides... if we did end up getting shuttled into the World category, I don't think it'd actually be a horrible thing. If we could keep our National teams, I'd actually be in favor of it. More competition and interaction is always a nice thing.

If we did we would lose our NT for sure. Though the extra competition might be nice. And im pretty sure that they have an individual stat for number of teams per country.

Despite having thousands of US managers, we barely have 100 handball teams. That's well less than half the participation the US has in the other 3 sports.

And I guess you're right... I just looked and there are some countries that have national teams in some sports, but not others (Iran and Morocco fit the bill). So I guess maybe I should be careful for what i wish for...

Most of the countries in the other world division don't even have enough teams to even fill 2 divisions though... much less 2 tiers. I think as long as we have 2 active tiers we'll be okay.
