I believe I gave up too early last time which is why I never used it other then to import a few key players.

Oh, being assistant would be fantastic! I was running because your tenure was over and I didn't see anyone I wanted to vote for and I think I am ready, but as I said, I'd love to be assistant to you if your tenure isn't over.

Also, about the formations, I said also that I'd like to see the players available first of all (including their experience and full energy) to decide who to play, but my main idea for formations is always play with at least 2 strikers, tho I'd rarely use 3, only if they're studs, as you said, and I don't like a defense of 3, I'd always use a defense of 4, I've never liked a defense of 3

Manum: you will learn nothing much being assistant. Assistants are there to double check lineup (no red card or injured player in the lineup moments before game (like i did for runnionion once).

Onion help "could" be the other way around: being assistant and providing guidance and suggestion but you still have the one responsible for the final decision.

that is the best way for learning other than being assistant.

If that would be onion last season as NT, i think him being assistant is better to "transfer" knowledge.

On the other hand, if I were to be your assistant I'd like to have some responsibilities other than just scouting... There are many things I still have to learn about managing the NT, scouting, rebuilding, etc, but as of football related stuff I think I'd be a great manager, I'd just need someone to help with the scouting.
In addition, now, right after the world cup, is the best time to change leadership.
But I just want everyone to know that I know a lot about football and have done very well in ppm having started late, and I am always open to suggestions and advice, specially from those who have managed the NT before, aka Runnyonion

Yup, and comparing team strength's with my rivals, I always seem to finish either right where I should or higher, so I've got no reason to change.

As far as i know, only the NT can call players so it is kind of useless you just scout but onion the one calling (without prior discussion with assistant for mutual agreement. My understanding is that NT managers have being the ones fully responsible and not sharing this task with assistants. I could be wrong here ...

Not sure how many seasons before the world cup (two?). If two, there could be you as NT and Onion as assistant, someone else as NT and you as assistant on 2nd, Onion as NT and either you and the other NT. Then after the NT, there would be 2 more experienced NT available and willing to take the responsibility and with one season as NT under their belt.

As for scouting, I've been scouting the 16 year olds from teams that were in I.1 in season 9 (including players that were transferred but are still 16). I've just about scouted all of the 16 year olds from that subset of teams. I will upload all of the players that I have scouted since midseason (when I last mass-uploaded players) before next season starts.

I also am going to need help contacting managers to beg them to run camps (and include the national team players) over the next few weeks since very few players seem to have been to camp yet. I don't want a repeat of last year when everybody decided to run camps During the World Championships. I made a post about the issue in the main thread, but that doesn't seem to have been an effective solution to the problem.

I know Caps. You mentioned that to me before. I actually tried but reality i am not experienced yet to do any of those for NT as I have only now faced real competition and still not played much.

For soccer, i tried and studied several formation and effects from players in different position in the field and other things so i actually know a lot about scouting/ratings.

For handball it will be a pain as there is no individual rating. It may be required to setup a credit tournament down the road and ask managers to play in specific tactics/players. This will likely be for next season.

I think its just what has happened with the NT asst. No asst has ever has for more responsibility- Truly the greatest part of being a part of the NT team is seeing everyones qualities. When i was asst I did what you did and just ensured that the line up was filled out correctly and that on game days no hurt players were in line up.
I believe you saved a game last year do that that instance- Something that would have helped this year against the Kazacks.

My preference for NT manager is that there be some type of experience at the NT level before they become manager.

I.E. You are an excellent candidate I would vote for due to you went through a year of watching it done and had a hand in strategy and tactics. Comparing it to hockey all managers have been an asst at one point or a U-20 and U17 manager.

If you notice with some managers of other national teams, they get funky with tactics etc....

MANUM- I am appointing you as National Team Asst for the World Cup. Kudos. Maybe you will bring us luck against the dirty Argentinians.... lol. (joking for those of you who are clean Argentinians.)

Also, you have a good point that I don't have experience in the International Stage, but I'm not new to soccer... PPM might not be all that realistic (at least not yet) but I never do weird things like play with no strikers, with only 2 defenders, with 5 CMs, with 4 CBs... All things people have used against me and they were all just terrible formations.

About our National Team, you had asked me what I'd use, and I've been studying the players in our current squad and since we have several very good center strikers, we should start 2 up front, we also have 2 great CDs and theyre starters, thats a given... We have a lot of CMs but none that are just amazing, which kind of sucks, but I still think we should play a 442... However, I'd change the lineup vs Norway in that I'd put the 2 CDs at the back, instead of vertically, leave the midfield as-is, and up front I'd start McCready and Morse)

Today was our debut in the PPM World Cup, in was a tough tie Against Argentina, 0-0. The truth is I'd have loved to beat Argentina today, the slightly weaker team in the group, but it was a very tough match. The good news is that Belgium and Romania also tied and now we have a single point each. I believe that if we beat either of them, both have a team strength of approximately 160, it could be enough to get through to the round of 16, but to secure the group, we obviously have to beat both and we will try our best to make that happen. Updates on tomorrow's match vs. Belgium to follow (P.s. we play at 12:00 US Central Time)
