probably broke the bank on a stunning young CM, but hopefully he's worth it!

Surprised I won today's game. I'm feeling the pressure to make a big move myself now.

Well, to be honest, I just *happened* to have the money(loans help out too...), and this kid just *happens* to be on the market at the same time. Unless you're actively looking for a kid like this (and I'm not even convinced yet that this kid is what I need... great future ahead no matter what though), it's not worth the risk. I'm already in the hole just from one transfer.

Match rating of 16 without chemistry can't be bad though, and he's only 17yo (18yo in a few days); at worst, he's just as good as my best CM who is going on 24yo.

added one too many zeros by accident (there's a reason why you "confirm" your choice...) to one player, and now he's staying with the club...

luckily, another player sold to cover the 500,000 transfer list fee!

Lousy start with no help from the schedule maker.

yeah, i think my penchant for not losing isn't helping much... in the past two seasons, i've only lost 7 league matches.

Matt, I feel your pain with the schedule maker. First 3 games, 3rd place finisher from last year and two I.I relegated teams. My team can't compete on that level yet.

I don't recall how last season's relegation went, but it is already feeling a lot tougher this season. I think I could have finished anywhere from 3-8 last season and got lucky with fourth. This season I'm thinking I might be lucky to get break the top 6 and could easily be outside the top 10.

the good news is that once you're done with all of the tough matches, you'll have the chance to get some points from the lower level competition (hopefully).

For sure, and I'm glad to have more competitive matches anyways. Playing dead teams is only good for padding stats, definitely not interesting.

playing dead teams is always boring. I'd rather have less stats and struggle BUT have fun with it, then go to auto mode against dead teams/league

Totally forgot to return my starters to the lineup after a friendly, can't believe I pulled out a tie, totally didn't even deserve that point.
