Yeah that's the formation I've been using all year. I know it's an odd one, but from the outset I assumed that my team would suck, so I went with a defense-first structure that was slightly offset in certain areas and then created my attack strategy centered around areas of strength. I think most of my wins have been 1-0 or 2-1. If you can manage to score a goal against me, you have a good chance of at least a tie game.

A bit of luck involved in that result. Your 12 goal striker Fabian Jean getting sent off in the 22nd minute is probably the main reason why we played to a draw. I needed that because I got caught changing tactics and ended up with a forward all the way on the wing. I was moving players around and comparing them to your formation when the pre-game thing kicked in. So I was basically playing with 10 men too

These last 5 games should be interesting. Tottenam's on the same schedule as I am, but they're two games behind. So we play three of the same teams. The difference in our schedules is I play a NoN and HC Apex, while the Spurs get the Psychos and the Spankers. I don't know who has the advantage, but I'm going to be pissed if a NoN costs me second place! I'm 4-5-1 against them this season. That's scary

That's why I didn't put much stock into the NC the first season - seems like a giant crap shoot.

I have no idea if I get to play in a Champions league or tournament. The Soccer guide doesn't include anything about International Cups, where as the Hockey guide does. So my guess is no.

Thank you, patrickbateman! The Psychos might have kicked my butt in the hockey NC, but beating the Spurs more than makes up for that Four points up with 4 games to play. This is going to be a fun finish.

I'm happy with the 1-0 win, but seriously, 10 out of 12 shots go wide. Does this happen regularly in soccer? That seems like an awful lot of misses for such a big net.

First place! Wow. The Spankers played on Low vs the Spurs and lose 1-0. I still don't think I can win the title, but I guess it's doable now

This has been a crazy season for me.

The 3 teams at the top all hold serve. Still only 4 points separating the top 3 teams. Too bad kamdog couldn't stop that goal in the 89th minute. A tie there would have given me some breathing room, and made the battle for second that much more interesting.

-I think Tottenham will win both of their remaining games.
-Spankers have a tough road with the Psychos and Crash Test Dummies. Both of those teams could pull of an upset.
-Bombsville plays a NoN and HC Apex. NoNs make me nervous, and Apex stomped me 1-3 in the first game.

Should be a great finish to our first season

Yeah it's going to be interesting for sure. I've played on low the entire season up until the last match, so I have a good amount of energy left. I'm hoping that's enough to pull out two victories, but you're right. I do have a tough schedule ahead of me.

I think I would have done a lot better lately if it hadn't been for some key injuries, but everyone else has had key injuries during the season as well, so that's not really an excuse. All of my key guys are healthy again, so that should be a big help.

I'm going to do my best to give you a run for your money, but you admittedly have the upper hand as of now.

I just want to beat the NoN tomorrow. If I lose to Apex and you take the title, that would be okay. But to lose it against a NoN would just piss me right off. I'll probably tie them after controlling the ball for 65% of the time.

I'm just on cruise control. Slowly developing infrastructure and seeing if my training plans will pan out even though I don't have the staff or facilities to prove it yet.

4-1 win over a NoN and the Spankers tie the Psychos! That's a 3 point lead with one game to go. I'm assuming the first tie-breaker is goal differential. I'm +2 there. If fizban wins by 1 and I lose by 1 on Sunday, we'll have the same GD. I wonder what the next tie breaker is? At worst, I'll get a chance to play for promotion.

Holy crap. This has been a crazy fun season. I started out as one of the top two teams, dropped all the way to 7th, and have worked my way back to the top. Very cool
