Ugh. I was all ready to spend my money building up my stadium this offseason and now you're all talking about picking up players and suddenly I'm browsing the market too. I do need a solid RD, and I could use another good CM....

Yeah it's always fun to buy new good players, than spend money on something long term and wait.
I hate bidding on players at this point in the season - all those guys are going to get one year older and possibly drop a C/L in two weeks. Most people don't seem to realize that the 19 year old, 5/6 stud they are bidding on is really more of a 20 year old, 4/6 player, so they overbid and unnecessarily drive up the cost. It's a great time to be a seller though...
That's much appreciated, willmott. Saved me some heartache. I'm tempted to post something in player chat, but the bidding is already up to 150M. How sure are you that he was 5/6 at 17? I'll call him out for you

Just to show my disappointment that the Manager selling him may be lying, I am taking him out and starting Romo instead for next friendly
You are right. If it is confirmed he was 5/6 at age 17 it is pretty much a certainty he will be 4/6. If seller is lying it is a big shame. And the buyer will never find out the truth because manager can only see career longevity history of the seasons they owned the player.

I'd say I'm pretty sure, but not 100%. Maybe 80-90%? I like to think those spreadsheets I made were quite accurate, but I was gathering a lot of data very fast, so I wouldn't be surprised if I made a mistake.
Thing is, though, I've been comparing him to Romo for years because I was trying to figure out if Romo would be a better choice for the NT than Pelletier. I seem to remember that Pelletier had slightly better qualities but Romo had better CL and facilities, and I know Romo was 6/6 at age 17.

That was a "joke" but I am leaning towards starting Romo as my projection has him as better career than Pelletier even if a team that buys him has Training Facility level 15 (I updated him to TF 15 as current winning bid is 15).
