I was very surprised that their goalie had so many saves. We have weak forwards compared to a lot of competition but we had 4(?) shot on goals.

I blame it on VEXTER and GARY VILLEGAS. He was our Obi-wan-kenobi.

I also blame my self for not double checking tactics and noticed in summary that delay of play was selected.

The current Group Standings with only 1 game to go are:
USA: 4
Romania: 4
Argentina: 1
Belgium: 1

As you said, all we need to qualify is a tie. If we tie with Romania, we will both qualify with 5 pts each, however, they will have a better goal difference, so if we want to advance in first place and avoid the favorite and current leader of Group B, #2 ranked Latvia, we need a win. It'll be a tough game, but we have a very good shot at making it to the round of 16!

MANUM took charge and helped plan the line up and tactics for today. I tweaked a little bit by continuing to add Monroe to the mix.

Huge Win for us as we win our group and move on to the Final 16!!! Congrats Team USA!!

The Argentinians beat the Belgians which says that they really were a tough team to play.

Thanks to Peterson and our Defense for not allowing any goals and helping us squeak by.

Wow- Only Brazil and USA move on from our qualifying group. The Canadians lost a hard one and got the boot. Ive been watching Finland who is in a good place to go far into the World Cup.

Great game today! Huge win! Now we will play the second team of Group B for a spot in the quarterfinals! After today's matches, Italy and France both won their matches by one goal and are tied in the lead of Group B both in points (5 each) and goal difference (+1 for both), however France has more goals for and I'm pretty sure they will advance as the Group B winners and Italy will be our next opponents as the Group B runner-ups. They will be very tough.

1st) USA: 7 (+2)
2nd) Romania: 4 (+2)
3rd) Argentina: 4 (-2)
4th) Belgium: 1 (-2)

Btw, we were one of the only 3 teams to advance to the second stage without any goals against!! The 3 teams are us, Serbia, and Croatia

The Key for this game is going to be to maintain our clean sheet streak going against the toughest offense we have faced so far... Carlo Musetti and Giulio Basaglio will be very tough to contain, but we have a very solid defense and am confident we can do this!

Sorry if anyone got confused, but in my previous comment I said two different things, in the first paragraph I said that Italy won Group B by having more goals for and that France is our next opponent, yet afterwards I say that Italy is our next opponent... I had it right in the first paragraph, sorry... Our next opponent is FRANCE

For our game with FRANCE, the key is going to be the same as I said against Italy, maintaining a clean sheet. However, France has, in my opinion, stronger strikers than Italy in Evan Morandière , Fabrice Duthilleul , Benoît Lochet , and Amine Mejean and they will certainly be a force to be reckoned with, but I am certain that Jedidiah Petersen , Dominic Queen , and Matt Barnard can hold them at bay.

Heck of a game--- I should have done subs so that just incase a pair of fresh legs could get in. Top 16 is good for me! NT jumped in the rankings.
