Some competition like this would be nice (in a short form), but it's quite problematic to organize I think.

What if the League Cup were at the start of the season? That would let your league's cup winner be visible to its current leaguemates.

First make the first week of the season, a pre-season week. Teams can start their 2nd camp of the season before the season break and run it into that week if they want.

All 22 teams would play in the Leaque Cup, and use a random draw. First two rounds would be played on Wednesday and Friday.

Then you have the 14-week regular season. League matches on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. National cup on Friday, and last 3 rounds of League Cup on Wednesday (teams in other international club competitions would not play in the League Cup.

Make the SuperLeague Cup a competition for each division. So a team could have a chance to prove themselves the top D.IV team in the World. It would follow directly after the League Cup.

The final week of the season would have the promotion/relegation matches but nothing else, so it would be just like now, except the 1st round of the League Cup.

What if players pulled after the start of the season would get extra training to catch up. So in effect, it would be like all players were pulled at the start of the season but we would get the thrill of new players every week.

So if John Doe was pulled on day 1, and his twin brother Joseph Doe was pulled on day 57, then Joseph Doe would get doubled training his first 56 days with the club, and will have caught his brother by the end of the season.

Players pulled at the tag end of the season would take 112 days to catch up, but would have caught up by the time they were 17.

They already have the code to make sure that 64 teams drawn into 16 groups of 4 do not have two teams from any country.

So it should be trivial to reuse that same code to draw 64 qualifier teams into 16 groups of 4 that don't have two teams from the same country.

Take the four teams in each group and pair them in qualification matches.

The presentation could totally hide this. For example take the code for showing the national cup draws. There are two jars with 32 teams, and a team is drawn randomly from each. But this can be done in advance and then have the teams from each list announced one by one. It must work this way anyhow, since I can replay the draw at a later time - and it gets the same results.

So when drawing for the qualification matches its not quite random. It's more like UEFA and FIFA do it, with heated and cooled balls .

I can suggest for League Cup to be held in week 15, not last week. So every otr gained or any advantage from winning this cup to be available for sponsors. Now we have finals in Sunday, last day of season after sponsor offers ??!!

It more important that sponsors know if you will win the promotion / relegation match than league cup.

ok i got one! People should get notifications when they have challenge. A lot of people don't see that tiny number that shows number of challenges so they don't react. They react when i send them PM... they probably don't see it before.

That could be interesting, but only if that would come as an option, or some of us would go crazy on the massive notifications.

if you want a manager to notice your challange, you could of course also just send him a PM ...
I wouldn't want to get a notification for each challange. It would only make me not notice challanges even more....

I would like to have an ignore function here in forum.

Make the engine choose the winner using these:
1. team strenght (home team bonus and game importance included here)
2. tactics

999999999. luck 0.001% !!

and not the other way around please...
seems like any tactic i choose i cant beat teams with 20 less team strenght

or make a button for randomizing tactics...

also balance player ratings, just why would attackers get such high ratings and goalkeepers so low? adding shooting to ratings messed everything up..

the engine doesn't choose the winner. it simulates game situations and the winner is the team that scores more goals in the end. If the engine would just pick the winner according to team strength combined with the other elements you named, there'd be no reason to play the match at all and this game would become very predictable and boring. Even in real football the teams still have to win on the pitch and not on paper.
