that was a fluke too, as was the season before that. If he can fluke out for a couple more seasons, I'd say he's had a good career.
I think Kesler flew under the radar and with VanCity's playoff push and the media attention on him, he will get more focus by the coaches and video staff of the opposing team.
He isn't a 40 goal scorer and probably won't hit that plateau again. Also, two seasons ago he had more points, but 16 less goals.
You'll also notice that a lot of rookies start off the season strong but are a lot less effective as the season goes on. A lot of that is due to defenders being able to recognize their tactics/tendencies and an increase in video to be studied.

damn. those ones hurt a little. I wouldn't know though, because the Biznows are currently one of the teams people are ashamed to lose to.
I am a big fan of Kesler actually. He seems to have an intense desire to win, but I totally agree that 40 goals could be out of reach for him again. He's going to have to start passing more, and stop trying to do everything by himself for the exact reasons you listed above about him getting more attention from defenders.
The key to Keslers success this season lies in a winger stepping up (I'm looking at you David Booth), and Kesler actually passing them the puck. He also needs to come to the understanding that he has the talent to succeed without having to get into all the theatrics. The Canucks have guys like Burrows, Lapierre, Hansen etc that draw penalties by getting under opponents skin. Having Kesler laying on the ice trying to draw a penalty is a complete waste of his talents.
That being said, he's got everything he needs to not only be as good as last year, but potentially even better. And in fairness, there are a lot of teams that would have him centering their first line, probably with much better wingers than he has had thus far in his career. Since we've talked about them already, lets take the Calgary Flames for instance, Tanguay-Kesler-Iginla would likely be a lot higher producing than Raymond-Kesler-Samuelsson from last season.

Nope, it is zombie time.
I got eliminated from the NC too, even though I out shot them, out puck controlled them, etc.
I just have some goalies who are supposed to be good but actually suck.
