I don't understand why MTL is making this trade. Your trading a superstar who is in his prime for the next 3-5 years for a guy just leaving his prime and signed for a very long time

Weber was great for the Preds. Strong leader. I don't understand the Canadians side of things but the Preds did great. Weber is slowing down as proof of his work in the series versus the Sharks especially game 7. PK is going to be a great face and personality for an organization that has never really had someone who is very willing to be out in the public doing all kinds of different public events. Tickets sell well in Nashville already and I think this is only going to help put more fans in the stands.

Personality conflict with the coach is what it sounds like. Of course, if I was the GM I would rather ditch the average coach then one of the best defensemen in the game who has yet to hit his prime...

The Coach and GM of the MTL need to both be replaced. Neither of them are doing a good job and will lead MTL to be a laughing stock of the NHL. It was only a few seasons ago that this team was the only team in Canada to make the playoffs regularly and was a contender in the east. Now they can't even lace up and play a decent game. I have no doubt Weber will be a solid player but he is getting older and not quite the player he once was.

My goodness free agency today. Everyone getting 4-8 year deals its a deals frenzy.
