I have two centre forwards who are both playing centre forward in a 3-4-3 system. One has a match rating of 22 in matches, the other is rated 15 in matches (I use one for friendlies and one for league matches).
The one that is rated 15 currently has energy of 71 and an OR of 895 (when he had energy or 99 he had a rating of 19).
He has 280 forward skills, 144 shooting, 29 passing, 141 tech, and 176 speed
The one that is rated 22 currently has energy of 99 and an OR of 799
He has 212 forward skills, 191 shooting, 45 passing, 100 tech, and 114 speed
I don't understand how the lower ranked one (ranked lower in everything but shooting) would have a better match rating

Oh yeah to top it all off, player rated 15 in matches has a chemistry of 89, while the player rated 22 in matches has a chemistry of 31
Really wish they had an edit button...
the only advantage, besides shooting, I can see for the 22 match rated forward is that he is AGE 20, while the other is AGE 25. Is that the reason for the match rating difference and does that mean I should go with the 20 year old in my most important matches cause his match rating is higher?

Much appreciate the responses...
Okay, so is rating level accurate, meaning if I have two players and one is rated higher then the other I go with the higher rated one?
Again, appreciate the response and feedback...
Energy from what I can see is 1 level per every 10 energy points off approx which means if both have the same energy the 212 is still the best.
Which one would you use to start important matches is what I am asking?
Again thank you for all feedback ahead of time...

Energy is a linear scale. 80/80 energy means the player is 80% as good as at 100/100 energy.
Cool
My main question though is in relation to player rating. Is that a rating which should be looked at to inform you as to whether you should switch your players (meaning if one person is 12 and the other is 14, then the 14 is better then the 12 all the time AT THAT POSITION (obviously taking into account ENERGY and other factors) - plus I know the rating changes based on position)?
Looked at the guide and could not find anything on it, did I miss something?
Just want to know whether switching players based on ratings is the best course of action in matches or not?

It includes everything, yes. All it doesn't include is Off/Def on Mid etc. That improves play but isn't shown in the IGR. 99.9% of the time, the higher IGR will be the better player.
In the future, please post stuff like this in the Q&A thread. I'm going to lock this thread.
