We have so many good Hockey managers in power play but if you had to pick one out of the rest who would it be?!!!!!
I second this. He was the only manager able to consistently compete with Leggman, and he assembled his team without abusing the market early in the game.
Nitny, the manager for Mobile Rain, gets my second vote because of how quickly he managed to rise up to I.1 - and make the playoffs. I'm looking forward to seeing if he can stay up there while his facilities develop.

The Psychos are definitely a great team. They were among the first to build a good stadium and have been one of the best producers of national team quality talent since I've started managing the U18 national team.
There's a team in my current league that managed to build a team that could contend in I.1 in only 2 seasons.

hopefully you'll know my team's name in a few more seasons. I'm just lurking down in division 3, building my franchise and biding my time. muwahahaha.
nope lol. I never understood why I should fight to get into division 2 just so I can get my ass kicked lol.
the way I see it, it makes way more sense to just slowly progress, build my facilities and arena, and train young guys up so that when I get there, I can actually (somewhat) compete... and stay there for more than a season at a time.
... but then, I've never been one to spend a ton of money on the market. It just seems like a waste to me.

I took a look at your team and your facility development is good though I would recommend trying to get to Div 2 to get a sponsorship stimulus. Also your player development isn't great. I'd say your team needs at least 3 seasons to become competitive in Div 2, and another couple to consider promotion. You need AOR around 900 to make any sort of splash in Div 2 and yours is currently 450. I would also recommend some cheap, older, higher OR players to supplement your growth.
I agree completely... you probably noticed that most of the players on my team are 16 to 19 years old. In two or three seasons I'll probably go to the market and pick up some older guys and really make a push... sticking to what I'm doing then advancing divisions.
My OTR is 47th in the US right now, and will only get better the longer I stay in division 3, and my HR facility is level 10 and improving... my sponsorship money the next couple of seasons will be better if i just stick to what I'm doing, than if I were to push for division 2 too early and then lose 90% of my games.
The goal is for me to have a great arena, good facilities, and good quality players ages 15-23 when I do advance so that my team doesnt collapse a few seasons later (as so many of the teams that got very late starts have).
