I think that happens quite quickly. You'll probably have answer within 24 hours. I wouldn't be worried if I was you. There have already been lots of crazier transfers that have been accepted.

I saw one coach indicate that only his PF and C were going to practice blocking. When I read the guide, I infer that blocking might be the primary defensive attribute for all players. Read this and tell me if you agree or disagree:
"Blocking: The blocking attribute is used by players in defense. Blocking represents the ability of players to block both shots and opponents who are getting ready for a shot. Blocking is also important in the efforts to force a turnover by disrupting the play of the attacking team and intercepting passes."

If a team plays a National Cup game, does the tiredness carry over to the Regular season game later that day?

No, only seasonal energy is used for the calculations. The seasonal energy is the second number in the energy section. So after a National Cup or friendly game, if a player's energy is 85/97, they will have 97 energy for the league game.

Guide says that, if we sign a free agent, we must hang on to him for 50 days. I know it is 50 in hockey, but should it be 50 in basketball, when a full season is 70 days?

yes, and it is not "constant" player took 9 days to gain 1 cm then 16 to get another cm.

anybody heard anything about a league realignment at the end of season 1? I'm thinking it's coming since so many teams are not getting logged into anymore in the D4 and D3.

They usually don't tell us until the last week or two of the season.

I think they should rethink the prize money and put it to normal rates. If not then any team getting promoted is going to get a real jump in money from receiving their promotion money.
