Does anyone know whether the league regouping is determined before or after relegations are carried out? Also, will defunct teams be replaced by noname teams before the league regrouping? Finally, if a team is being relegated into the second lowest tier and the replacement of defunct teams occurs before relegations, will that team not be replaced during the subsequent (?) league regrouping?

Regrouping has nothing to do with defunct teams. There is a mechanism to replace them with noname teams if the defunct team is in the last 2 tiers. The last question just has me confused.

Thank you, this seems to answer my question. I probably could have worded the questions more clearly. I basically wanted to know whether defunct teams that are relegated from the highest tier to the second lowest tier would be replaced during regrouping this year.

I just finished my second full season with my team and have some semi-noob questions to submit. As always, thanks for the input!
1. My best general sponsorship offer improved 55 percent after my first year, but only 19 percent after my second. Yet my team OTR improved 30 percent both years. I made full arena upgrades as well. Why the decrease?
2. What is the best statistical measurement for defensive effectiveness? I am wondering if low PIM is a generally accurate indicator.
3. My third-best wing in terms of core ratings only shot 8.8 percent last season. He was 17 percent the year before. A couple young wings with lesser core ratings shot 20 percent or more. Was this an anamoly, or is shooting percentage perhaps not the best indicator of offensive effectiveness?
4. Would my best players benefit more by resting against weaker opponents or more from the experience/chemistry/exposure/statistical bonuses?
5. Are there hidden factors in player growth? I have a young defenseman with very good core qualities who is growing very slowly and I am wondering why.
