If you look at the U17 team, there are more Terriers players selected so it's probably just a feature of them being a bit younger and Trueblue having an older side with not many young players in either junior team.
That said, a few seasons back both Knights and Colah sacked all their older players and selected younger high quality players for a few seasons without worrying too much about success. That may have contributed too.

I've never done a full rebuild and most of my top young players I've sold on the market as wanted to keep a champion team. That's a regret I have TBH as I do wish I'd put more effort into youth. I'm doing that these days, which is part of why my team has slipped from down the ladder in recent years.
Tune in for the kickoff of U20 Australia v U20 India in a friendly. This match will be my first as assistant! Australia are favourites to win, and hopefully this is the result at the end of the match!

Sorry, I misread the time (it happened an hour earlier than I thought)! Congratulations on a 1-0 win that was well deserved over India. Even though this was a close result, hopefully it is a good sign for the rest of the season and the World Cup qualifiers!
Did try out a couple of new players just to test their ratings. But happy to win tonight vs India. Also playing Low, Very Low to save energy for the real matches.
Now we have finalised key positions, A few more U20 stats to tell you where this team is at in age:
In the starting 11 there are:
- number of 20yrs = 4
- number of 19yrs = 6
- number of 18yrs = 1
In the selected 18 for matches, there are:
- number of 20yrs = 7
- number of 19yrs = 8
- number of 18yrs = 3
So a few more U20 seasons for most of the main squad.

Team is in great shape, especially with core of the team ready to play next season as well. Great effort

An exciting friendly match is in store tonight, with the Australia U20 up against the evenly matched Uruguay U20 squad. Pulling off our first win of the season last match, the Australian team comes into this game hoping for a good result!

A good win for the Australian U20 playing low intensity vs Uraguay... Two goals to our star striker Stephen Murdock. Last season we lost to Uraguay, and in another two weeks we play them again in the World Cup qualifiers.
Australia come in as the underdogs in our match tonight (or tomorrow morning I don't really know) against the Finland U20 squad. This will be our final friendly before the all important World Cup qualifiers kickoff again!

A 2-0 defeat to Finland was kind of expected being the weaker side. We did play defensively but as mentioned previously our goalkeeper stocks are quite low, and even lower with our no.1 goal keeper injured for 7 days (annoying too as he is at training camp to improve but sloped over and injured himself)...
This weekend it's a must win for us to leap from 8th to equal 4th if we beat Uraguay in round 1 of this season's qualifying.
Until next time, this is U20

Hey guys, I really feel like this season Australia has the quality in our U20 side to qualify for the World Cup. It would be great if everyone could get behind the team as we are in a really close group and at this halfway stage everyone is still in it for a qualifying position! We haven't qualified since Season 11 in Portugal... time for a change!
