I think he wanted to point out the fact he's getting the same amount of money even if his OR and HR are higher, beside better managers. And even with all that his offer is same as last season.

I agree with him though - if you run a succesful season and spend the money to get facilities that are supposed to increase your income and other teams in the past reaped the reward - then when your time comes you don't get it because of something that changed in the game world. It's a double slap in the face - the other teams got a leap frog ahead at first, and now you get a leap back because of the "fix". Lose / Lose

I can deal with it, but it is frustrating none the less. The OTR gain for promoting is also a somewhat pointless endeavor because you don't receive it until the next season as it is a reduction of OTR loss, but if you promote and get slapped around all it really does is put your team in stasis for a season.

I know. We've all had that happen to us in the past in some way, shape or form. I feel for him, but... he could have had 1 star offers for the past 2 days, which is worse.

But, you do need to take into account that last season he got relegated, which would result in a lower offer. This season he came 1st, but as it's a lower league he was always going to get smaller offers. It's always been that way.

So doing well in a lower league is equal almost to doing crap in a higher league.. makes sense to me.

But EVERYONE across the board seems to be complaining about their offers, so, seems fair to me.

But, this is a multi-player game, if everyone had a "fair" chance, no one would ever win a game because that's not fair...

I agree with everything you wrote, although (I think), it would happen sooner or later. It was the only logical thing to do for developers – shrink leagues together, so everybody have a chance to compete against living user. It’s more interesting to play that way. Than again, maybe there were more subtle ways to handle situation with sponsors, but what’s done is done. It would be even bigger mess to try and “fix” it. But! Because of everything that was stated here, developers will now try to think of another solution for brighter future. Irony is, of course, right around the corner. That future again won’t be bright for all users. It’s impossible to please each and every user.

And regarding your second paragraph … that’s where I’m headed in this next season. I managed to promote to the first Slovenian league. And even if I’m proud of that achievement, in the same time I’m worried, because there is a lot of “slapping around“ waiting for me and I already know now it won’t be very beneficial at the end of the season. But it is “first league”, not everyone can get there. And beside, I’ll try to think of it like IRL and compensate money with experience

That’s very true! Maybe he doesn’t realize how lucky he is to get a 4 or more * option, when that’s not granted at all.

I didn’t say anything about his offer, merely trying to understand him. Personally I think offers are pretty well balanced. Why? Because of what I read on our board. Some teams are promoting from third league to second and they get almost as much money as I who promoted to the first league. I don’t begrudge them and I’m happy with my offer. But when I think of the season that awaits me, I fear that it would be better for me to build my team for few more seasons in second league. Also, there will be 7 new teams in Slovenian first league in this coming season. It’s like rats are fleeing

That's not exactly true. Number of league levels in country are not mentioned anywhere and difference between 3 and 4 league levels is about 20-25% which is huge!

But the most important thing to know is this... all those things only improve the chance of better offers, they don't necessarily guarantee it.

now you can say whatever you want, but this is very very unfair:

Last season GS offers: 2*,1*,1*,1*
This season GS offers: 3*,2*,1*

How big is mathematical chance to get something like that? Disgrace...

and yes, to add to that GS offer, I also got TV right offers: 1*,1* in last 2 days.

Well, the chance to have 7 straight offers with none being 4* or 5* is (60%)^7 or about 2.8%. So if all of PPM's 567,429 managers had a hockey team, about 15,884 or so could expect similar bad luck.

This is one of those situations where I don't think using a pure random number generator is the best idea - there's still too high a probability that many managers will get screwed and be justifiably upset.

It's not getting "screwed" it is truly a random encounter. If everyone got a perfect 5* every year why even bother.
