False. There's a point in time at night, well it's night for me, when prices for players on the market fluctuate. I prime example being when I was more active in hockey a Spanish team sold a lot of high end players that normally got for 7-10 mil and I got them for 3 mil. I know Camrawn can vouch for this method too. In the past I had more luck with this method.

Oh hell yeah. You can get players for about 80% of their actual value if you bid between 10 pm - 3 am or so. Eastern time. It's even better on weekends.

I'd recommend trying the method out first before disagreeing. Myself and the above poster have first hand experience with this in different sports too. For some reason there's less people bidding on the market. Granted Basketball is fairly new so prices are going to be weird at any time of the day.

Yeah, there are currently 3000+ people online. At night, it drops to like 300. It's still early morning for most of Europe, and they don't have any games around that time, so they don't get on.

problem is that a lot of the players listed on the market are european players though.

so while it may be easier to successfully bid on players at that time of day, you'll probably also have less players to chose from.

(if the european players aren't logging in to make bids, they also aren't logging in at those times to list players on the market or drop players either).

Yes, and that is definitely a problem. I haven't done late night bidding for over a year in any sport. It's easier to find lower level players at night, but now that my team plays at a higher level, it is difficult to find a player at night that would actually improve my team. There's normally about 1 per week now that I'm searching for over 1400 OR (in hockey).

I wasn't trying to say that late night buys are guaranteed bargain shopping. But if you happen to find a player that fits your needs that sells around midnight, he will likely be cheaper than a player that sells around noon.

i actually have to watch out sometimes, because there's been a few times that I've "purged" staff members and thrown several on the market, only to realize that it's 10:00pm E.S.T. and probably the worst time to be selling ANYTHING.

So I think most players know "when to sell" extremely valuable players. You'll almost always see those sorts of auctions end around 2:00-5:00 pm E.S.T.

That has not worked for me. I even use market agent going for guys between those times. No good. I. Do better when Europe sleeps.

I don't think it matters all that much when you sell or buy a player there are always people out there with money. That being said, I do try to buy on Tuesday and sell on Wednesday.

I believe I have had two injured players for the last 20 days. I now have both of my PGs injured, just in time for the the deciding games of the playoffs. Luckily, one of them will be recovered by the 5th game when I lose game number 4.
