They gain OR and chemistry and a little experience. So 2 out of 3. Then you start to move them up the depth charts. At first they get into friendly games. Then as time goes by they will keep moving up the charts or be sold. The problem that teams fall into is that they have 4 lines of 30 year olds and then 2 lines of 28 year olds and then the remainder is 15 to 17 year olds. So in 3 to 4 seasons you are then left with a young team with no experience. Bring in a few players in their early 20's to bridge that gap. Ie players with 1200+ OR
In the guide, under "staff" - coaches...PPM has written:
" for every player over the limit, the coaching efficiency of coaches is reduced by 4%"
What is the purpose of this? Not to mention that PPM recommends a certain number of coaches per players. At what point does having too many become less productive in terms of training earned for one day?

Does anyone know what is the maximum value of a skill in basketball?
The highest I've seen so far is 504.
And I know that in soccer it's 655.

Haven't herd of any max value in basketball so don't think there is one
I have an SG that just grew 1cm over the recommended height. However, I do not see any difference in his rating or performance during matches. In the past, I have noticed a lower rating for different players under the recommended height.
So should I just ignore too tall players? And could I have a team of all giants, with PGs the same height as Cs with no penalty? Or is it just that 1cm over is too little to notice?

I presume you mean Jurado.
If you look at his rating, it was 48 on 2/1 and is 46 now. Some of it may be just to him getting tired and his energy dropping. But some could also be from him been over the limit.
You may want to consider retraining him to SF.

That is just him getting tired, etc. My other players show a similar drop-off in that time.
Besides, Jurado grew over the recommended height on the 26th of January. He has not grown more since. In his friendlies (where he wasn't covering two positions at the time), he had the same rating on the 25th (before) and the 26th of Jan (after)!
I was just wondering if others have experimented with taller players and had this happen as well. And I was wondering if 1cm was too small to notice a penalty, or if there simply was none.
I *have* noticed a penalty for too short players, where their rating improves when they grow to the right height. I assumed it was the same with too tall, but it appears to be a lesser penalty or none at all!
I'm trying to find more definite data than my one player with a 1cm difference...

I can tell you that when my PG overgrew his position by 3 cm, I've noticed a significant drop off compared to other PGs with the same OR and skill set.
About 4-6 ratting points.

Don't have data to prove it but the general consensus seems to be that the penalty for being too tall is lesser then the penalty for being too short. But there is a penalty.
That being said being taller is advantageous so taking that into effect I don't see having players too tall an issue at all. I'd prefer someone slightly taller then someone at the min height for the position.

Hmm, I didn't realise that about height advantage. That's probably why my C seems to be underperforming even though he is the correct height (205cm).
I mean, I knew there was a height advantage, but I thought it was between categories (like a C matched up against an SG, etc).
Thanks, it's food for thought...

Shooting preference
Set this option to suit the strengths of your players. Shooting is the most important attribute for 3 point shots. For medium range shots jumping and height of the shooter compared to the player who marks him are also taken into account in addition to shooting. For close range shots the decisive attributes are technique and jumping as well as shooter's height versus defender's height.
So basically when you take a medium range or close range shot height matters. It also helps with rebounding.

I wish we had an option to play third string or the 2nd substitute players, and also a team page where you could look at what the "rating" would be for each of your players in their roles without having to go to the game summaries or play challenges( although this second one is a bit more of a convenience thing for me).
One more thing would be the ability to change tactics like offensive alignment or aggression: based on number of fouls, or certain positions reaching a certain amount of fouls.

What's about RFA player salaries? If I get RFA player then it got contract with my system or club from where I got him? Cuz if it from other team then I need to look players the same nationality as that club, or I need to search for players for my home country, to pay 25% less salary.
