Oh ok. yeah, so you were suggesting an alternative.
I couldn't tell... it sounded like you were saying something along the lines of, "trading would be redundant because we already have THIS feature."
I don't know if I would want them to charge credits for something like that though... Seems to me like people could game it. Ie, if they draw a player with mismatched qualities (great goaltending and shooting for instance), they could pay to be able to "trade" it for a new random roll which could result in better qualities and a more sellable player.
------
my main desire with trading is not really to make my team or anyone else's team better. I mean if people traded strategically and were better off for it, more power to them. My main desire is that it would add a new dynamic to an otherwise completely uncontrollable, completely unrealistic player management system.
I mean think about it. You can level up your facilities, but you can't control what comes out. You can bid on the market, but you can't control who else might bid more, or the quality of players available.
Basically, unless you're filthy rich and you can buy any player you want on the market at any time... you don't really have any control over the direction of your team.
If you pull a bunch of guys with horrible speed, and great passing from your SA, it looks like you won't be doing fast breaks or wing shooting anytime soon. That's just crappy. I want to be able to make the kind of team and pick the kind of strategies I want... not be forced into it because I can't do anything about what players I have.

I mean, perhaps another alternative to trading (which could solve some of the issues I indicated in my last post) would be the flexibility to "SET" your Sports Academy to a mode.
It could be similar to what we do for training players and staff members. You could set your academy to focus on training players in PAS, SPD, AGR, SHO, GOA, etc. Or maybe even set to train players to be ambidextrous (with a cost to their overall ratings or something).
The pulls could still be random as they are now, but they'd be assigned a certain weight (based on the mode that your SA is set to) which would influence the type of player you can get.
I mean OR and AQ would still be calculated as they are now, but at least you'd have some control over the direction of your team.
...
Maybe I'm just bitching, because I'd love to be able to have an offensive, fast break team. But I've only gotten one player with shooting qs over 70 (most are around 50 or worse), and I keep getting goaltenders from the SA (I now have 3 guys that are 34 goalie ranking or above).
It's like the opposite of what I'd want to do with my team...

I will be quite honest with you. It will not take much more for me to quit playing ppm. Trading in this game would push me over the edge. Though to be fair, one more sorry sub 200 SA pull might send me over the edge.
