Maybe they were going for saving energy since they thought they couldn't win? Or an error within team management.
they played (1st half) against Bulgaria on VH. If that was planned to save energy it would make more sense do it in the first matches. And bulgaria has better Team strength...
And strategy to do that against current team they are fighting against for a spot would be dumb.
Their manager is experienced and log in multiple times a day. Hard to believe it was a mistake ...

and ... before the competition started i made sure ALL tactics (even friendly ones) were set as VH so it would prevent any "mistake"
I also make sure, before the matches, to check the tactics/formation to see if there is anything that should not be correct.
E.G, if I've seen a VL match there and Runnyonion did not message me saying he has that planned i will assume it is a mistake, correct and message him.

So MK Ultras in league II.1 is going to quit. If we have any room on the national team can we add some of the players that might be really useful to us in the long term? Like this guy Werner Zehnder otherwise they'll be deleted.
He said he would sell any players that another manager would request to be put up for sale; assuming that he logs on at least one more time to receive such a request.
Is there any way to see changes to a formation made after the start of a match in the game summary? I've wondered for awhile, assuming that you can't, whether this fact could be exploited to camaflouge one's formation and possibly obtain an advantage by doing so. I've tried this in a few matches by using the mirror image of my formation in certain circumstances, but I haven't done so enough to determine whether this might be an effective strategy. In any case, perhaps such a strategy might be impelemented by one of the national teams if it can be effective (you could change the formation after the first minute or so).
Actually, it might be better if you let someone with top facilities pick up the player. At least, that's what I did with a recent sale of one of the better players on the U18 U.S. National Team for hockey. I did save up about 50 million and threaten to make a bid if anyone with worse facilities than I had tried to make a bid.
its actually the plan .. if someone with lower facilities (lower than 13) bids then i will try to buy.
My facilities will be level 11 before season ends and will immediately start level 12 (using promotion/bonus money).

Have you tried to do it? i thought about it but so far no need for. My guess player rate would be messed up because player could, perhaps, start out of position. eg: starting 4-4-2 and immediately changing to 3-5-2.
I often read the source code during the games (specially the international ones) so i can get the result before the game ends. But that is all it is shown in the source.

I had my lineup set to swtich from 4-4-3 to 4-3-3 for some games earlier this season. Last season I kept using 4-4-2 but swtiched from a formation that emphasized the right side to one that emphasized the left side (until recently, I only had one respectable CM and three respectable LM/RM, forcing me to fit an unusual right-leaning formation to use my four best midfielders - that probably wouldn't be an issue for the national team).
The problem is that the conditions I set to make the necessary substitutions were rarely met (I only wanted to change my formation if the one I was using proved to be sufficiently ineffective). I also haven't really needed to automatically change my formation after the first minute to gain an advantage since most managers in my league wouldn't check on my formation and make adjustments in the first place.
I don't know whether player rate would be messed up; this would be something to experiment with in exhibition games before applying it to important matches (especially since it relies on a lot of substitutions working correctly).
