1-1 was very dissapointing from a win standpoint, but at least we got on the board with some points. I shoudl have changed the D line back up in a 4 man rotation if we were winning before half.
Anyone considering running one of the youth teams? I figured I'd volunteer for one, we certainly should have American managaers running the squads.
yeah, I was thinking about it, but I would rather be an assistant manager
I don't know if I'd have the time for it. I mean, I spend enough time doing my *own* team... something would get lost in the neglect...
Its not difficult--- However I will say the first year of both teams will be important to set them up effectively.
id hope very experienced with tons of time take the national yongster teams. i dont plan to apply. in on vacation this week with limited playing time, btw.
Not a win, but a good result away in Bulgaria today. If we can turn in three points against some of the other teams, we'll be well placed to qualify.
I agree. A draw against Bulgaria was good. Here's to hoping we come out on top in our next 3 matches
With the youth NT's coming soon everyone needs to update all of there players. I had Been busy scouting youth some will do my best to get them on the site.
Im back from vacation
draw against bulgaria IMO was a great result.
Our 3 next games are "easier" and must win ones and hopefully before we play Norway we are already qualified

Looking at our opponents, I'd have to revise my earlier estimates about "Taiwan" - they're definitely not push-overs, and it's not by some dumb luck. The strength of their squad is roughly on par with Norway.
Quite frankly, I don't think the Norway team is taking WC qualification very seriously, some of their tactics have been a little wacky.
Of the other two opponents, only Kazakhstan has a "star" player in Shamil Adamiev, but Indonesia struck luck against Norway, while Kazakhstan hasn't had much luck. If the tactics and the set-up are sound, we should be well-placed to win the next two matches before facing Taiwan. Depending upon how Norway plays out the rest of their matches, that might be *their* crunch match... hard to predict how things will play out.
But seriously, two points from the top three teams in the group is good. Hopefully, we'll get really good returns to set us up for the second half of qualification next season.
