It would be great 7 divisions :) A lot of team would be releguated to the IV?

And yes it's early in the season but if took this team in example because if he was in III.2 he would be 14th,now he is 1st in his...
That's the disparity i'm talking about.And less III would be a great solution

Is he going to have a fun season? Most likely not. Would some teams out of the strong III1 to 4 be able to hold their own? Most likely.

I think that's why Pro is suggesting to rearrange the leagues completely at the start of the next season and then have a system that spreads out the teams better to keep it more balanced and so more challenging for everyone while trying to avoid having teams be promoted to a slaughter.

I am helping your point, I like it because I was fortunate to go to a weaker div 3 league and am the 7th/8th best strength overall team in the league. I would have preferred to have been relegated back to div 4 and then hopefully promoted again this year and have a better shot at competing with my div 3 league that I lost hardcore to almost every game last year. I also would have won every game and gained a ton of team rating and then had a better sponsor offer as well. As people keep playing it's easy to get a good team in a season or two, my roommate is Mobus HC in league III IV which is a weaker league then say yours but in 2 seasons of playing the game he is in the 90's in rating so a team with 113 isn't that much further ahead then teams that start now. I think because of this, you can't reorganize by strength, and then we would start a debate on teams tanking their last game of the season... You can build a team off FA in no time and compete now. I have tried a different approach in training facilities and prospects rather then buying a team. This does have little to do with the subject at hand. The only thing I can say is I was in the bottom 4 last year and needed to get relegated to div 4, because they are trying to even leagues out, instead of my team going to div 4 and destroying teams, ppm moved me to a weaker div 3 league and strengthened the div 3 on the whole. There will always be harder leagues then others and teams could buy their team in my league by the end of the year and I won't make playoffs. Story over, but the point is that div 3 on the whole is keeping the better teams and unfortunately for you, you are in a tough league. A team like Murdaland in my league at least has some competition instead of new teams, or noname teams like it was before.

I don't like the idea of set promotion/demotion leagues.
I would prefer it be 'random' who they face so that there isn't an issue with teams purposely getting certain positions to promote/demote to specific leagues.

The system needs a complete overhaul... true, but we need to be realistic here. I understand where you stand Pro3000 but basing your point with: "I have more exp so I should be better, not you" is wrong.

There is so many ways to build a team in PPM that I know I could fold my current team, start a new and reach division II even before you do. Why? Because I would put all my knowledge on building the ultimate team without ever correcting past mistake, which I, you, others all did because we learned as we played what worked, what didn't.

But you are right to say the current promotion/demotion system is wrong. PPM is surely losing a lot of users because of this. When you work so hard from scratch to finally be promoted to a higher division only to be destroyed 20-0 each game is no fun. I know many people quit the game after reaching that point. All promotion and demotion should be tied to OTS which doesn't mean you are guaranteed going up to an higher division.

The way I see it: The system will check division by division. Meaning IV.1 gets the first "choice", then IV.2 and so on.

You win division IV.1 with a OTS of 50. The system will check if there is a league III with an average OTS of no more than +10 (in this case, 0 to 60). If there is not, then you stay in IV.1 with the promotion money given. The IV.2 winner won with 49. The system now check for a III division and finds none. Now, it will check if it can be "promoted" to an higher IV division which can only by IV.1 and it does. And so on.

And while we are at it, money would be tied to league AND division. So a IV.1 team should have a bit more than IV.2 and so on.

+1. But you would also have to have the chance of moving leagues. So you could move from IV.4 up to IV.1 and make more if you win your division but are not good enough to go to div III.

Money should be tied to division, yes, as it is, but not league. There are is no difference between IV.1 and IV.2, not to mention II.2 and II.3. I will report to the devs concerns about the P/R system. Stay tuned.

The problem with making promotions based off OTS is that you can change your OTS by changing your lineup. Also your OTS at the end of the season will be lower if you use higher energy.

I think we agree. It's not a question of user xp, it's a question of team strength.

The overall issue is OTR is not an accurate measure of a team's readiness for promotion to a higher league. OTR could be inflated by being in a very easy league. Strength (to avoid people gimmicking it, you could use an average over the last 10 games), is the only real measure we can use.

I was thinking recently about the impact of the weight and the length of player.
By incorporating them in the game it could add more variation. A medium defenseman with some weight could be better than a good thin defenseman.

But it looks hard to incorporate
