What about experience?
Is exp gained in friendly matches comparable to stamina spent and OTR gained? ... That is, is the experience gained in friendly matches significantly less than competitive match exp?

i leveled my education center to 6 so i could train some staff.
it wont be fast, but at least they will get to train some before i can afford to level more.
since most managers will not level education too much in the first seasons, it will be all good.

I guess I just haven't really focused on regen as much as training since I never play my top prospects for more than ~30 mins a game, on low. I figured that if they're only losing 0.125 seasonal stamina per game, it wasn't as big a deal.
Even my goalies tend to split time pretty well. I rotate 4 goalies in competitive matches (in order to maximize my save percentage prize money at season's end - I currently have 3 of the top 5), so all of them are still north of 98 seasonal energy.

i never placed a player to play friendly to gain experience, although they gain experience. I can be wrong, but I think you would have to play like 10 friendly matches to be equal to 1 league match. What i am often more concerned is keeping chemistry high.
In soccer / hockey where my starting line is way better than the youngsters and their chemistry is always at the max, then i use the friendlies to get some experience to my top prospects.
but honestly, i am not sure what is better: get the little experience, or more training. I think when your regeneration and training facilities are at the same level, it is better to play them to gain experience. when regeneration is low, i think its better to leave them out of friendlies and gain more training. But that is just my opinion

Interesting. I always play my top guys in friendlies (on very low), because I figured the stamina drain is so minimal, that any extra exp would be a positive thing.
I didn't really think that the difference in training would be large enough for it to be incredibly detrimental.

well .. use then on a friendly, and then dont use. train the same attributes, and check.
then make decisions based on the outcome...

I guess next time I draft a player, I'll try it out. Since exp increases by fractions each game, there's no way for me to really judge what the training lost/exp gained is using my existing players.
if you want to know about experience, when u pull a new player, only play him on friendlies and check how many friendly matches it takes to win 1 point experience.
to check training, just leave him out one friendly match, and check the training ratio.
then you learn something and use in your advantage.
i never had patience to do that

hahaha. well the problem is that I'd have to do it several times (develop a sample size decent enough to be significant), because experience gained also depends on opponent strength does it not?
I might get around to doing it. at the very least, I'll probably check out what the training cost is for playing my guys on friendlies at very low.

I play by committee Ends up my B line see's more action than my A or C lines. If I am winning.
I've all but eliminated my C line this season. I've gone with just an A-B setup this year, and even then I'm annoyed sometimes when I see how much exp my disguardable scrubs on B line are stealing from my A line.
handball is a long season. there is no way to be successful, in a season or two, without 2 solid lines.
OH WOW guys I just got the freakin' luckiest pull ever! With a level 7 facility and a 26% youth training rating I managed to get a freakin 136 OR beast of a guy with .5 stars accross the board!
