What the heck is up with people selling crap on the market? Been trying to find a goalie for ages!! People seem to think you should only train Goal!!! Train at least 3 stats people!! 51 Goal is not good when you have pass and block below 20!!!

I wouldn't even bother looking on the market to be honest. Players that are selling for $20mil or more will be worse than players that are pulled from the SA in even a season or so.

No goalie at all. Bought a really nice contract on one though. He should be fine until I do pull one.
Good deal. Yeah the SA is a fickle beast... probably good that you at least went out and got a reasonably priced stop-gap. Should hopefully help you advance this year.
After last week's 260 OR 74AQ pull, I got spoiled. This week I got a poor AQ 187 OR and actually considered not picking him up. I decided to grab him anyways (he's comparable to some of my other low AQ guys, but saves me some money because now I can let them walk when their contracts end). The total benefit (difference between his contract and their future contracts in a few weeks) works out to maybe 100 bucks a day, but every little bit helps I guess.

I'm starting to get really disheartened by this SA. I know it's (supposedly) largely up to chance, but I've only gotten one player over 220 OR to date.
How many 16 year olds are already in the high 200s in the various divisions? That means they must've been picked up in the mid 200s LAST SEASON, when NOBODY could possibly have a SA higher than 7.
It's funny, because at the start of the season, I thought that I was in a great position to coast through my division this year, because my SA was far superior to the other teams in my league. I know your TF is one step better than mine, but have you really averaged 0.63 Pra/day on Brennan? That's amazing. o_O
I mean he's at 250 now, so if he was less that 220 when you pulled him in september, he must be training at a ridiculously fast rate.
I've got a guy with 73 AQ that I've had since the 22nd of June who's only gone up 30 points to date (from 203 OR to 233 OR). That includes only 2 of the seven day training camps though (as I try to do my camps as close as possible to the end of the season).
I'd love to know your secret man. Do you have really high TF staff or something?

I just checked He was 219. He averages currently around .5 a day in training.

Coaches' efficiency:

mmm. maybe that's it. your regen facility and training facility are each one step better than mine, and both your coaching and physiotherapist efficiency are slightly better as well.

my tips for staff would be: hire 2 trainers. it does not matter much their OR. In fact, cheap salary (and cost if you buy) the better.
they will not add much, at this stage, but having them will avoid you from training penalties.
try to keep your roster to less than 25 players. that way you will not need to hire an extra trainer (or other extra staff)
for less important staff, get very low salary ones (just to avoid penalties). they will very likely be low OR but that is ok, you jut want to avoid penalties.
Worry about the OR of your staff when your facility is at level 10 or higher.

yeah, i try to even avoid playing my top prospects on friendly matches. Once my players reach 80+ chemistry, i play them only on competitive matches (or credit). that way it maximizes their training.

yeah, I follow that. The only staff member I bought was a $10,000 manager at the end of last season (because I had not pulled a second manager before sponsorship offers were to be handed out and I didn't want to chance any penalty or disadvantage). I cut him at the end of his contract.
It's actually kind of a shame I don't care about my staff more, as I actually have some really decent young guys with great qualities (a 50 year old Physiotherapist with 93/85 qualities for example). He could train into a beast if I actually spent the money to train staff members lol.
