Mini Minors cut there roster's average age back down to 16 years of age... at some point, the infrastructure will be built up to support older players with much higher salaries, but for now, the minors continue to be as their name... minors.
Why do you need more infrastructure to support older players? I would consider the opposite true - younger players need better facilities to develop. Older players, who don't really develop that much, are less reliant on staff/facilities.
oh Scott, maybe I said this wrong... building team infostructure (seats, facilities, concessions, as quickly as possible, last time I did this in handball the salaries of my older decent team was keeping me one step from bankruptcy (a similar issue in Hockey but worse in Handball). So I'm building everything up now before spending on the salaries... an experiment, but its working.. even with a roster of 15-17-year-olds in divison II, I can stay in the top 4-6 in the standings.
another season should get me where I need to be, then I can let my players stay around and build through training. Or buy better players...
Gotcha! I misunderstood, no problem! You are keeping salaries low, to build up quicker. Makes perfect sense. Thanks for clarifying!
could be a worthy thought to invest in 1-2 older players to provide for the goalie position and some offense to help you stay in the top while not spending a ton every day. The differences between a 20% and 56% save average could definitely win you games, and having one guy to help the scoring effort would cement that? Sponsor money comes in much easier if you're finishing high in the rankings, and if you promote you get a nice hefty bonus, too. (and then you can just play your guys on High all season so the sponsors don't get too pi$$ed off and re-do it the next season)
Says the gal who is paying 900k+ in extra player fees every day, on top 4,434,797 in player salaries, and 2,604,675 in staff...

Lol...top two players (age and talent) are goalie and Pivot....I will likely finish 4th again..3 year in a row...
Total player salaries (28 players) is 423,000... used to pay my goalie nearly that much alone.
Don't want a promotion till I have 20000 seats with nearly full concessions.. need the home games to generate good $$$$...One thing I am is patient when it comes to this game
My salaries are $5,581,697 lol. My staff is only $1,960,630 though.
You could probably cut back on your staff. Helps quite a bit week to week.

I'm in a period where a lot of staffers are about to retire so I need replacements, and playing the market for that doesn't always pan out, so I've trained some guys up instead. Which means i keep lecturers around (although they're not the most expensive staff out there). I also have extra players so I need 3 coaches and 3 physios. Adds up quickly.
Also, handling the NT means I gotta keep scouting % high. It's a tradeoff I make for the sake of the NT. (It does mean I'll never win I.1, but it is what it is.)
