We had 103 (I think) players in our league draft, there was ONE A and the rest split mostly between B and C with a few D to seal the deal.
If thats what B and C look like the draft is pointless and a waste of time for us and game resources for you.
Just my 2 cents eh, I'm sure everyone else is so happy with their 2 stars "key players".

the likelihood of a top player is actually higher in the draft than in a regular youth pull because everyone gets the max number of players he can get for his level and there are 20% extra players on top of that. At least you see how lucky you need to be to get a really top player. But even with that, some people have played this game for so long, that their rosters are already filled with A to A+ players.
If we were to increase the frequency of top class talent, it would only make things worse in the long run. Sure, everyone would love to have an all-star team, but where would be the fun in that? At least in the draft you can influence your luck.

There was no promotion anywhere in that post. If you're that worried that even a mention of "them" is going to scare away your users, you might want to look at your own service and ask why that might be.
My point simply was... the draft was more than a little disappointing. If it's not going to generate better pulls than the SA, don't bother having it.

By your own admission, the draft was never intended to provide class talent. So, what exactly was the point? If the odds of a better pull aren't all that increased, the entire thing is a wasted exercise and not worth putting the time or effort into.
I wanted to get 6/6 left backs out of my academy instead of 5/6 centers and draft allowed me to do that. Actually I'm very happy about it. Unfortunately there was not a single 6/6 A player according to my best possible scouts in this draft but the best B player I got had 4 stars at the end.
Overall, I think the first round pick number has too much an impact so the first pickers have a huge advantage. If there was more A players, the issue wasn't that bad. To achieve that, it'd be only needed to lower the criteria for players to be A but the overall quality could be the same as now.

I believe the game is already filled with too many good players and that's why people consider all these players crap and not worth having. Putting in more high quality players is no solution. It would only make things worse.
Draft was designed to bring a new element into the game. Something exciting. And also to give everyone a chance to influence their own luck. I think this was achieved.
There will be some more improvements though. We are not done with the development yet.

Granted, it did give players the ability to influence their own luck. Well, kind of. Good to hear things are being looked at. History shows PPM might not get it right first time but you guys eventually do
Another hockey proposal about Puck Collection (I guess it applies to other sports collections too).
Is it possible to provide ability to pick which puck for specific league you want to display on the main screen of collection?
***
Second suggestion, when sending invite for friendly game to the team outside of your league, is it possible to pull statistical notice if my team already played any games against that team and collected any of their current/previous pucks?
Thank you!

Love the puck collection one. That is a great idea. P.S. I have a great puck
Any news about not having to wait 60 sec for each non present manager's pick?
Bigger prob which I missed last time: PPM has according to my memory always stated that PRO package helps managers to do things easier but does not help their team's competitiveness. I would (as a long time PRO holder) like to suggest that the feature of not allowing non-PRO managers to sort their lists is removed. It is not humanly possible to attend all drafts (e.g. due to work) which means this is definitely bringing competitive advantage for PRO managers. For me, allowing it by using credits is more of an offence, not a solution.

managers who aren't online take between 10-20 seconds to make their pick. Problem is probably with managers who are online, but not on the draft page.
We are not changing the PRO pack thing. This game needs features like this to survive. Otherwise we can just shut it down and nobody will play.

The above one might be exactly as you suggested, I didn't think of that. I'll check in the next draft. Now when I think back, the waiting time wasn't always the same..
The latter I accept as is, it's just that I haven't (earlier) seen a statement from you guys where it is said this clearly that it indeed does bring competitive advantage. That was my prob - not the feature itself.

it's not a real advantage though. It's still only a comfort thing. Just like it is a comfort thing that you can use market agent to bid on a player when you're not online.
Hi Vlady
I think that the draft was a very good idea at the beginning. Too good, to be honest.
We, managers, had imagine a better way to pick up prospect players when you guys announce the draft coming.
But actually, the draft we have now is at the opposite to what players expect and you developpers expect.
I suppose you make the draft for many reasons, including make the game more intereting for us and find a way to earn more money via credits options. No offense for that last point, I understand that. Draft will take us more time, and for some of us more credits. But for that, it had to be more interesting.
For the moment, the draft asking us more time, but with less chances to have a good player ! Until now, every week, we waited for the academy outcome, and 9 weeks of 10, we were "disappointed". But it was normal, we knew that you can't give a 5 stars player each week to each team.
With the draft, we are SURE than after the 4th pick, we have nearly no chance to have a good player. Why does we take some time to scout, study, classify and choose the players we'll pick ?
Because of that, a lot of us will not follow the drafts on the next weeks. And therefore, you will earn less credits.
Consider a draft per season, with maybe 30/40 "good" players to find. Every manager will have a chance to pick one, maybe two top-players for their future rosters. And so, it will give us a good reason to spend some time to prepare our choices. And spend some credits too
With this system, you can consider to reduce the academy outcomes, for example 1 every 2 weeks instead of 1 per week now. This will be reduce the number of top-players created in the game per season, and keep the balance right.
What do you think about that ? Everyone will be happy...
