Believe i do and a lot. Especially when they always seems to score on their only chance they get.

Hi team really isnt getting scored on by nonames that badly. Just looking at his games this month against nonames, he played 5 games. The frist 2 games nonames took 5 shots on target and scored 0 goals. Then 1 game out the 5 they took 1 shot and scored 1 goal, which he tied 1-1. The fifth game they scored a goal on 3 shots. That's really not that much.

it's much more difficult than you think. Even if we did that, it wouldnt put an end to "ridiculous" results. those can never be eliminated. Now back to topic please. This is a Q & A thread, not match engine thread.

I do say that. Since I have promoted from Div II where I was also below average for stars and average OR for players, I'd have to suggest, that either I have been the beneficiary of some very long term, consistent luck, or I have been doing a better job with tactics than those I have been playing.

When I look at the live reporting – Very often the “wrong player” appears on the wrong place!

I give 2 examples;
* My central midfielder gets the ball and starts to advance. When he come to the penalty box he plays 1-2 with my central defender (!)?

* My midfielder loose the ball on the midline and the opposite team starts to advance quickly on the wing. They run around my wing defender and going for the net – they shot – then my Top-striker comes and block the shot to a corner (!)?

How is it possible that my top striker always seems to be the best shot-blocker in my team (at least if I follow the live)? And what in the hell is he doing down as the last outpost?

How is it possible that my defenders always seem to be so high up in the field (I’m not talking about the fixed situations like free kicks and corners)?

To me, there is absolutely no relevance where I have the players on the pitch – the engine put them where ever it feels…

If you actually made notes you would see that most of the time, the shots are blocked by defenders. Sometimes it happens that a striker helps out in defense and that a defender supports the offense. If you think there is no relevance to the positioning of players, try setting up a lineup that is all wrong.

I see that Central Defenders play up pitch so much, sometimes they tend even to cross the ball. This is not normal at all (for pushing forward your CDs I can agree sometimes - players for example like Lucio tends to push up a lot (but in PPM it is so often), but You need to see at least 100 real matches to see one byline cross from CD into to box while in PPM it happens at least one per match)?

i didnt say that. I can say that it is based on the match calculation to some extent. If there is a foul, a shot, a goal, a free kick, penalty etc. you can be sure that what is written in live is based on the calculation. Blocked shots, however, are mainly for entertainment and the name of the player who blocked the shot is not retrieved from the actual calculation.

Because in the match calculations there is no names (individual players) - and that's the problem

There was a shot, but match engine don't know who made the shot. Calculations works with average skills - not with individual players. It's faster for calculations - but that's not how football works.

blocked shots are not a statistical category, that's why. when there is a blocked shot in live, it is just for entertainment value. most plays are based on the calculation as I have said.
