I can understand that, I'm kinda the same in hockey...just too much work to compete at the level I'd like.
In hockey I just wait until I get money and spend it on arena when I have enough. Turning my team around by buying a lot of FA would be too much demanding with University and all other stuffs. I even stopped my pro-pack from hockey.
It's funny because I got 150m from 3 prospects from a lvl 13 academy, something I never had in basketball.

BTW I made it top 8 in CL with me being the favored team in my next matchup (but still a good team). I finished 3rd last season and my goal is to keep my core together for awhile and try to win it once. Wanna put Canada on the ppm basketball map...at least once lol.

Not "ever". In 10-15 seasons, when everybody has everything maxed, we'll start having a chance 
From experience, he'll still be far ahead. Nobody could really catch TMO in hockey. We've had a steady top 4/5 in soccer for awhile. Handball there's a top-2. But once established it is hard to unseed.

Reached the semis of CL for 2nd year in a row...hopefully ppm gods are with me this season and I can win it all and give Canada another team in CL next season

That being said would be nice to get more teams into CL/CWC as you know from hockey that it makes a big difference for those teams

Yes. Then there's soccer, where we were doing well until the decided to give everyone (but Asia) the same number of teams and performance can't adjust that.
That sucks, soccer is weird...u don't even end up playing top teams from other areas
