Personally I don't like the prize money for players. It's mostly given out to those who play the most minutes. Teams that have their starters play 30+ minutes. But the way the game is designed is to rest your starters as much as possible and save their energy any chance u can. So basically u can play the crap out of your starters and go for prize money but will suffer with energy towards the end when it matters, or you can control their minutes and lose out on prize money but will be better set up for a playoff run

The system right know is not really realistic. I know PPM wants to make the game harder by forcing owners to have a good 12 mans squad and not only a good 5 mans squad, but in the NBA, star players play around 36 to 40 min. (out of 48) which is around 30-35 in 40min games.

The points system is really bad too, and the assist system is a disaster. 2 assist in a 100 pts game for a PG that played 25min? He should have 8-10.

Talking about realism... look at 3pts %. Looking at my team, it goes from 44.9 to 73.3... I know my player are better than their opponents but still, even while shooting wide open NBA players don't have % that high.

Debating turning my soccer, handball, and basketball teams into NT training clubs. I'd buy top end Canadian prospects and play them every game VH to get as much Exp as possible. Sell at 18-20 and repeat. I'm about to get slaughtered by free agency in soccer. If that happens, I may call it a day and autopilot the aforementioned sports as NT training teams. Would just need info from the community whenever a top-end (Canadian) prospect is hitting the market.

That's sad. Free agency is rough in this game.

My basketball team will never be competitive anyway. I will invest in TF, RF and SA and then at least contribute that way. I have more fun developing players anyway.

What is the going rate for future-NT prospects anyway?

Well we have had real trouble producing top rate prospects lately. There aren't many from the U17 and U19 that will actually make a big impact on the Senior team.

Hopefully that starts to pick up with more teams getting lv14-15 SA.

Decent prospect-50M
Good prospect - 100M
Top notch prospect - 200M

Then if somehow someone gets a 500+OR at start of season with awesome Qs, that's 400-500M

Anything that costs less then 50M most likely won't be a future NT player.

Wow. In hockey you can get future NTers for 10-20M at 15 years old. Not sure I can afford to buy those kinds of players, and develop them. Would take a year real time to turn them around.

For 10-20M you can only find role players for decent teams, definitely not top players. Basketball is still new and the best players have yet to reach free agency, once people start paying more in FAs the price of prospects might start going down. There is also the fact that with faster seasons people are more willing to spend on young players as they will make an impact much sooner then if you got one in hockey.

I think it will take roughly 5 seasons before prices start to really drop. That's when top teams will start to have a bit a trouble with FAs

A few things to consider...

Teams are finally maxing out facilities and having max staff, so these young 15yr are the first few waves of youngsters being trained to their max abilities. Due to this everyone wants them.

Top teams are making a crapload of money without having to pay their FAS yet...I'll use my team as an example.

Income wise...take my ticket sales+ souvenir+ranking bonus and that covers the cost of ALL everyday expenses(players, staff, arena, facilities). That leaves GS, MS and luxury boxes. I make 650M total from that. That's with a lv14 marketing and not 100 staff. So that will go up but so will my costs so lets call it a wash. And I'm maybe top 50 in earnings due to being from smaller country. Lots of teams making lots of money.

What else do I have to spend the money on...my facilities/arena are close to maxed out so not much there...I'm training my own staff and will actually make more then I spend...and FAs well I have 1 24y and 4 23y, rest are around 20y. Gonna be awhile before I have to spend big coin there.

So basically tons of money to buy players and prospects seem to be what everyone wants right now.

BTW for an idea of the money some teams have...
Public account has 780M and has the 9th most money. Only 1 team ahead of them isn't a top team with Max facilities. My guess is they average 1 billion with not much to spend it on.

My heart isn't in basketball. I won't quit, but I won't be spending lots of time developing a good strategy.
