On the bright side, being promoted means your sponsor offers were probably 2-3M higher per week than they would've been by staying in the lower league, so you'll still be making more than you would have in the grand scheme of things.
You will have some chances to win games, so focus on what you can win and build your tactics %s and some experience for your players otherwise. I'll try to go easy on you (sometimes I forget to switch from my friendly lineup for league games, lol)
You do want to upgrade your arena as your attendance will also be growing a bit. If I remember correctly, the best route to go is to go medium stand-up top spaces, then jump to large seating everywhere (with top seats as much as possible), and then upgrade each spot to the maximum level (triple floor) when you get a chance, as that will give you additional weekly income from the skyboxes once you build them. Then just upgrade them to max seats eventually (but that is a while away). The takeaway being that you don't need to go through every single level, as that will cost more money that way. (Also, ignore scoreboards, ice quality and stuff, it doesn't really do much)

Haha, what are the odds? We're actually playing each other today! Ok, I was going to rebuild some more player chemistry, but just for you I will field the B team
Thanks for the help so far
Is it safe to assume I shouldn't sign and staff or academy players I get right now since they won't be good enough? I am currently building up to lvl 5 in hr training and academy. I signed my latest draft pick but it was probably a mistake lol

You may actually want to get *some* staff on board. Try to find a manager with high marketing towards the end of the season so you can get better sponsor deals. A coach and a physio will help you a bit with games and managing tiredness (but they don't need to be maxed out).
On the other side, you only need 3 lines -> 17 total players, so if you want to save money, cut the grease on players for now (those guys with like 20-40 quality, lol). And yeah, draft picks aren't going to do you much good at this stage, sadly. Unless you manage to score an A+ 6/6 where someone may want to buy him off you for the growth potential.
I don't think you were the one I gave this piece of advice to or not, so here it is again: your first player buy should be a goalie in the 1000+ OR range. That one guy's salary may end up being a fourth of your total player salary expense, but he can win you games by himself (be patient and don't overbid, tho).
You could take a gamble on a guy like him: Josef Uřidil , He's not super well balanced so I don't think his price will increas, his contract expires in 33 days and he's an RFA, so if you pay him 10000 and someone ends up offering him something (why would they?) you can just let him walk and pocket the money, lol. Otherwise just train his passing up and he'll still do the trick.
Then get a good forward to score you goals and it'll get you ahead of all bot teams as well. (be careful of salaries bloated by super high exp. Try to find low CL (3/6) 21yos with over 1000 OR. Those guys typically have higher OR to start but less potential to grow, so they're not usually super expensive and don't come with crazy exp either.)

Ah makes sense. I haven't had any luck in the market though, although I guess I'm being a bit cheap lol.
One important way to earn extra cash is to play friendly road games against opponents with big arenas. i don't have many free dates but I sent you one anyway and it appears you declined.
Oh didn't realize that. I am kind kf worried about running my team down or should I not be worried about that since it appears I will be doing a lot of losing it seems

Don't put any more money towards your arena accessories. They won't help with how low your capacity is.
Your priorities should be Human Resources, and arena capacity. Arena capacity is important because that's how you get bigger media sponsors. You want to go large stand ups max size for each section, and then save up and build a triple floor multipurpose. That'll be a while till you can afford one, but you want to go from a large stand up right to the triple floor. It's the best from a cost / time perspective. You want to start building the triples at the start of a season, because any seats under construction don't count towards your media sponsor, and the triple floors take most of a season to build.
After HR and your arena, your training and sports academy are most important.
While you're pouring money into your arena and HR though, you should get cheap old vets on the market. You can get older players with good OR and exp (compared to your current players) for pretty cheap, and they can help you win a lot of games. Don't buy a ton though, cause you want to keep your salaries under control.

I've been trying but keep getting outbid
Should I just pay like 100k for some? Not really sure about player worth.

I wouldn't worry about it for years. Friendlies only use 1/5th of the energy used in league/National Cup games and you can also play them on very-low impotance making the energy loss almost non-existent.
Oh I forgot I can just put my obvious losing games to low importance, lol.
Feel free to send me friendlies if you want or anyone else I could use the money lol
Thanks for all the help so far. It appears I have made Many mistakes mostly with my arena but oh well

Oh yeah, 100k is nothing in the long run. Just spend some time scoping out the market place, and you can get players that will drastically improve your team for pretty cheap. You can get older players with high exp over 1000 OR for probably under 100k.
And always fill you your calendar with friendlies. It gets you additional income, extra player exp and team chemistry. Just set them to always play VL importance and the energy drain is I believe .1 a game.

I see! I just can't for the life of me get any players on the market . I keep getting outbid overnight (i have used the agent thing but you only get one use?) or it ends up going to 1mil+
Make sure you’re going after older players that have 1 or 0 CL. There will be a certain OR level where they go for very cheap.
Also try and find some where you can be online at the end of the sale. That’s how I get most of my players. The market agent rarely works for me.
