6% is not that small. As I have said, there are top division national teams that just can't win that much against some other top division teams. And there are next division teams that can't win a match in 50 against these weak top division teams. And so on to the 4th level division. Even in ice hockey some things just don't happen that much as 6% and some don't happen at all for decades.
This team belongs to the 3rd national league and it should have 0-38 to above 60 strength teams playing with the same or 1 level different importance. If they would've played High or Very High, I probably wouldn't have a problem with it. They wished it harder and they would deserve it. But 3 in 50 for this match is way too much. Period.

You're making justifications by making illogical comparisons, I don't think anyone has a team strength rating for the national teams. It's also hard to say what the odds of winning those games would be since we can't re-simulate the games 500 times.

I'm saying from the perspective of a lower quality team a 5% chance to win is a tough hill to climb and is in my opinion fair. You don't see it that way, and I guess will never get the point that the other team deserves at least a chance to win.

So again, my point is all the people "upset by the high # of upsets" think of the number of teams who are ecstatic by winning one upset. There are 2 people vested in the outcome of each game, the winners and the losers.

I have never said any team deserves no chance to win any other team. There always must be a chance. I'm just saying that 6% is way to big chance for such a strength gap with the same match importance. And there was home advantage also, which makes it even worse.
Well, it's getting useless. I can't convince you and you won't convince me. I just hope devs will consider these writings some more and give some more thoughts to this issue.

Speaking of upsets... I really like to see a deserved upset, as well as any weaker team would be thrilled that he has beaten stronger one with his witts, and not by chance. Therefore weaker team could improve, posing a threat to all teams and having benefits of it constantly. If it's a coincidence, weaker team will never have substantional profit from that undeserved win.
I've said this only for the sake of argument, as a common sense, since I lost interest in analysing strange games.

In Mrk1's case, considering the recent run of things I would seriously look at the lineup structure of your team, because something doesn't seem to be working very well.

My lineup was pretty standard, all 2-1-1 players, with defensemen tech leveled with agr. The only exception is 4th line LD (112-46-57, tech 39). Shooting strength speaks for itself.

The difference between 36 and 68 is 32 or almost twice. However if the top is actually 1000 then the difference may only be calculated as 3%.

Also your 4th line is not actually much better than the other teams top line. Given it was the top line that scored both their goals - 1 against your forth line. I dont think a comparison of just the overall strengths is valid.

The line for line argument is often forgotten in cases like this.

Top strength is more like 200, not 1000. You can see my last post in Questions and answers about how strength differences could/should work.

About comparing line for line, it goes the same way in opposite direction. You should compare my 1st line to their 3rd line.

Hi,
I seem to be having a problem with my team line-up since yesterday. I checked with Permanent & he suggested I log it as he couldn't see an obvious problem.
I am getting the error message about team line-ups i.e. Warning!!! The next game will be played by an automatically generated lineup! The most likely causes are:

1. A player from the lineup was sold
2. A player from the lineup got injured
3. The substitute for the affected position is not set
4. The player is in the training camp and you have no substitutes set for his position
5. A player has been called up for the upcoming game of the national team

I picked 3 lines that looked fine to me & met all of this criteria, but still got the message. I copied some previous line-ups & that still gave the error. I deleted all lines & re-saved and am still getting the error.
Please can you help ? I can't see what I might be doing wrong. I haven't sold anyone, I only have 1 injured player who I am not picking, nobody is on a training camp & nobody is in a national team. I even set some scratches but that doesn't stop the error.

Did you check in tactic that you want to play only with 3 lines?

strange. I dont know how you did it, but you dont have any lineup and/or tactics selected for that game. try clicking " Select lineup and tactics) " and select one of each. that should fix it.

A) I have tactic set as 3 lines & am only picking 3 lines
b) Marian Indruch is not selected on any line
c) I can send you the screenshot which shows you I DO have all lines selected successfully

I have been getting a weird error message when I click on Save for lines/tactics which tells me
" The page was not found
