Lately, I've noticed that I've been giving up a lot of goals late in the third, and not when it was a close game either. Well. Last two games I've given up goals with 7, and most recently 33, seconds left. The first game I was up 5-2 when it happened, and the second, 4-1. Weird coincidence?
Haven't noticed it myself, but I'll keep an eye out and report back if I notice such things.
Yes, because their energy drops. BUT so does your opponent. The only difference is who has lower energy... because they'll play worser (I'm aware it's not a word Chad) giving the less tired team an advantage.
But shouldn't both energy drops be at the same rate, therefore giving the team with the most energy even more of an advantage?
Here's an example.
A team with 95 playing a team with 100 initial energy.
That is a difference of 5%
Now, they drop 15 a game, so we'll say 5 a period.
Start of the third they both are down 10 energy.
85 vs 90.
That is now a difference of 5.8%
This is assuming same lines and importance.
If the team with lower importance (generally the stronger team) plays like they should, theoretically they should be better in the third period than in the second or first.

The drop is not linear from what we gather. Nothing is official, but it's a slow drop until somewhere between 80 and 90 energy before it's a massive cliff after that. So you can't assume that a difference of 5 in energy is anyway close to being the same difference around 95 energy as it is around 70 energy for example. I know that's not what you're saying, I was just elaborating.
Who says it isn't linear?
I thought that the current belief was that Energy/100 * Stats = Game reflected stats.
So a 90 energy is only 90% what you'd expect from his stats.
Granted it is more complicated than that because of exp/chem/etc.

Ya that's the thing nobody knows for sure. I always heard it was around 80, so that could be. (My soccer players are getting closer to that number haha.)
