Asunto: Senior Canadian Basketball National Team

Yes I have him - but seems we have competition now!

I am proud to announce that I will have 2 assistants this year : farlen322 and goaliematts1.

They have both demontrated interest in the NT senior team for years.

Farlen322 (manager of the Québec Thuderbolts) has experience in managing the NT team as well as an assistant. He will be coaching most of the games.

goaliematts1 (manager of the Kitchener North Stars) want to help and bring new and fresh strategy with the team. This experience will help him when he will be elected as GM. At then end fo the day, ee are all working for Canada's success and his addition to the team is going that way !

My opinion on goaliematts. Wanting to contribute at the national level is good and my goal here isn't to discourage his interest. That being said he is going about it the wrong way.

In order to get a big role on national teams you need to earn it. Trash talking people who have been putting in the work in his presentation and talking BS isn't going to help.

My suggestion, get active on forum, become a team player and help the people who are in these positions because they've actually earned it. Do these things and you may learn enough and be appreciated enough to one day run the NT.

Maybe I am wrong, future will tell, but I believe that having him around will help him and us. I, for long wanted to have him around as I fell he is only seeking to help. I am feeling that I should offering him an opportunity to show itself. Showing him what we are doing so he knows what he is talking about. I let him know about the forum. I am guessing by doing that he will develop himself as an asset for Canadian basket. But again, it is, maybe, just me being me here. I didn't ask him to change anything but I think I'll realized by himself and will adjust it but Nothing is sure. I found him way more open in our exchange than what we saw in his presentation. By the way, we talked about the forum,I hope he is reading all this and will join us on the forum so I'll talk for itself. Maybe not today but somewhere this season you could be surprised and if I am wrong, well, I pretty sure you'll let me know

It is ultimately your call. We've been down a similar path before (kback Senior Soccer NT). At least if you're lead he can't do too much damage... he can only do tactics + line-up and can't release/sign new guys to the NT.

Thanks. But have faith group. I am in charge ultimately and Farlen322 is the main coach and assistant. The only thing that can happened is he brainwashed me (maybe he already started?). We are starting the relationship and I am the type of guy who trust people until he proves otherwise, not the other way around. Who knows what involvement could do to a guy... Faith, faith, faith

For sure. I think all we're saying is there is an element of respect necessary when holding these posts. Slinging mud at people tarnishes that especially for someone unproven.

Not the way I like to behave, but nothing good could have happened if we haven't reach to him. i am trying something for good or bad. but I really get your point that this position needs to be earn with respect. hope this point will be understood. Hope I'll be active on the forum to communicate his ideas. by the way he is now helping scouting Greece. I am scouting Germany and Farlen322 Finland. We dont have big expectations against Lettonia, but would be appreciated if someone can at scout at least couple of players (and send me those numbers directly if you dont have access to the NT file). I hope not. The team that has the bid a the moment is a really bad chinese team.

I don't know I always feel something weird about the chinese teams. So often I see a good teams selling a player way too expensive to an other really bad chinese team. Also at the beginning of the game there was a lot of dead teams from china selling good player on the market.

There is something fishy about the chinese scene.

I doubt top teams would want him, the owner purposely trained him wrong just to up his OR and sell him, I would definitely want nothing to do with him

I dont totally agree, he is not SO badly trained. The only thing he is missing is shot. But have the size and the primary attributes. I am not saying that I will pay that much for him, but just a little adjustment in his training and could be a good player except if sold for a bad Chinese team of course. I think if this is the case, he'll be out of our NT team and quickly!
