The average number of goals scored by the winning team in the top 8 playoffs for Game 1: 2. The average number of goals scored by the losing team: 1.25. Can someone say defense?

scratch all that. I no longer have the ability to read. Average winners: 2.5 Average "losers": 0.75. Still defense for all. :>
how is it I have higher player ratings then you but lower team strength? chemistry? I have pretty high chemistry levels. Does OTR effect team strength??
energy is the biggest thing. If you check your team strength over the course of the season you will slowly see it drop every time your players lose an energy unit. Thats why energy is important come playoff time
What do you mean by player ratings? Your line strength ratings in the game summary are all lower for offense and defense but higher in shooting then reverist's lines, same as the overall team strength averages.
Yeah, close one. Glad to have my starting goalie back, at least I can make a game of it now.
I took it to mean higher OR for his players. But I doubt we train identically, if only because I do a few of my players "non-traditionally." In some ways that's good (see my team and line strengths; team strengths are only an average of the line strengths, btw), and in some ways that's not so good (see the fact that, probably, every other top 8 team in our league has higher shooting). I can't help but think that's my problem against teams like Mighty Sticks.
Define "unbalanced" shooting - I train guys between 40-90% of primary based on their shooting skill. Use players to their utmost instead of sticking to the silly "ratios" that people have set. Those extra points of shooting may just save you

I mean shooting that's the highest stat for the team. Also, anything above about 70-75% seems like a waste of time, but that's just my philosophy.
Yea I meant the OR of individual players. In comparison it looks like mine are a bit higher but it doesn't translate to higher line strength. oh well. i'll figure it out
I actually subscribe to the idea that, for some players, you should train their shooting to the quality number of shooting as a percentage of their offensive attribute. I don't really do that too much, but my leading goalscorer this season (and our league's leading goalscorer, btw), does this. I would only do this with players who are 6/6 and who have a shooting attribute of at least 65 (preferably more). So if you had a guy whose shooting was 65, then you'd train shooting to be 65% of his offense. (for anyone who cares, Sanderson's shooting quality is higher than 65) :>
