rochester is cracking me up..... it was a great run at the end of the season for all of the potential playoff teams.... someone had to miss. CrusherC - bottom 4 are automatically down, sorry. I'm sure you will bounce back up next year. Like we were saying before, the game is more about money management then anything. I kinda screwed myself a few years back not watching some of the rising costs, def set my team back a great deal. Just ask Reverist, I was a ways ahead of him 4 seasons ago or so... oh well, learn as you go
That is one of the most true things I have ever read on this message board--about the money thing. That and training up your own players (which still somewhat falls under money management).
The game was a lot more fun before everyone discovered the "perfect" formulas and they invented auto training. It's a bit of cruise control with rock paper scissors now. Playing the market seems to be the best bet but I've been a bit out of it lately. Just doesn't seem like much to do.
I keep things different by training some players with different ratios, just as experiments. In the long run this may be bad, but we'll see. 
hope i take at least one game from the miners so i get to play 2 homes games haha but with the way my goalie playing last few days i doubt i can post a win
Playoffs can be surprising. One thing I have noticed is that I usually have lower shooting than some teams--if generally weaker teams play me but have a significant shooting advantage, the game tends to be much closer. It's why I can outshoot a team 40-25 and lose 3-2. lol.
I hope I can give you a run. In Texas for my son's wedding and may not see much of the hockey this week.
Playoffs start tomorrow! I'm very excited to see how this all turns out.
