I wouldn't train defense for forwards, in my opinion. Doing do won't help a whole lot, and it will slow down their training in other areas. If he is a winger, you may want to consider some people's suggestion to train his shot atty to 80% of his offensive atty. Something I do with some of my players (at least now I do) is to train their shooting to the number of their shooting quality as a percentage of their offensive attribute. So, if a player has a shot quality of 77, then I train shooting to 77% of offense; a player with 84 shooting gets 84% of offense, etc. If a center has an especially high shooting quality, I do this as well.
ok guys, I'll bring up tech and aggr I guess to 50% of Offence. Thanks for the suggestions!
Oh the Hockey gods wanted to steal that one away. Looking good.
I tinkered with the lineup, and we were slightly less skilled than before on defense, but better on offense and shooting. We'll have to see if we can strike a balance. It's getting there.
Keep up the good work and the USA will have a good future in these international tournaments.
Well, good effort versus a strong Czech Rep. team. 3-2 ain't bad. I have a feeling I'll be saying that a lot this season.
The U20 team is suffering as well. It's because we don't have the huge number of managers that other countries have and we have a smaller pool of players to choose from.
