Asunto: U18 Canada National Team

I can chain two training camps right now.

As ever, i am thrilled to be part of the Canadian national scene and would like to thank all the GM's who voted for me and also those who abstained and didn't vote against me. I was in touch with Clit earlier and was surprised at his readiness to once again be the assistant. Sadly, this season's time will be a defensive charity case and our goaltending woes will carry over to next season. Still, armed with our unrealistic optimism and a mandate that says, "you're stuck with us" Clit and I will do our utmost to steer this team away from the oncoming cliff.

Far more pro-active with our scouting this season so don't expect an email in your box asking for numbers on so and so guy. We have been looking into your windows for a long time now...Not at your 15 and 16 year old's, though. We have some sense of decency. Still, we aren't perfect so if we do overlook a player that you think should be on the team please throw us a name and we will measure him up against the others in our data base. And of course, if you have a big, juicy 16 year old for next season, we will add the best 2 or 3 for an early start next year. As always, if you know of any goalie out there with any kind of numbers, PLEASE let us know...

We actually don't favour Banks over Les Headless Chickens Nickerson. We are equally indifferent to both. Still, we need a warm guy on the bench for Serbia and we don't see much point in warming a defensive bum so Banks gets the call. I still have one more method to stir the Canadian "player waste" from recent seasons to see if something less hideous can be found in Europe but hope is fading fast. It's kind of like that Gord McRae thing back with the Leafs in the late 70's. We know he is a nice guy but that is one hell of a hole in the back of the net...

Busy this week but the scouting should be done by the end of the weekend. We will add another 10 or so next week, including some 16 year old's - hopefully in one go. Let us know if we have missed someone...

I've barely just finished updating my collection of 19-20yo. Hoping I can go through the 17-18yo guys this weekend and see if you missed anyone. I have so many guys scouted, it's a shame we can't just see a table of those guys in-game without having to search for them

That takes care of our basic needs and brings the total to 43. We will slowly scout 16 year old's and will leave the window open for any "Governor Reprieves" should you notice any teams looking to go under. Either way, we will add 3 or so 16 year old's to get a head start on Season 30. Our apologies to especially:

Leblond/Evers/Goodfriend (GB Giants/Fleur de Lis/Yardware Snakes)

We have a LOT OF wingers especially and even the above additions to the team will probably not play this friendly season. These four guys will join the team next season for sure should we still be around at GM. Wish these guys played in our defensive end...

Neil Goodfriend is a center. One with a relatively high shooting, so he may have somehow fallen into your winger filters, but he's got high passing and low aggressivity!

No we know he is a center. Those were the only 3 guys who were close. I just didnt write that clearly...

Fair enough, just wanted to make sure you weren't confusing him with another guy. He's a good friend, but a worse enemy

I think with how our goalie situation looks, it might be worth a shot to bring this guy on the team:

Derick Neal

Owner is trying to sell him, and 100M is a steep price, so I doubt a crap team will pick him up. Maybe having the flag by his name will bring him somewhere where the owner cares. So far he's the best goalie prospect out of the 16yo I've found.
