Even though they are planned to go to camp, they're not there yet. You could use them on that last day.
Speaking of which, players should gain Chemistry for being on a trainingcamp together, it's pretty logical too if you ask me.
The camp icon can be different. The point is that you can see who is going to camp next day.
But they could be gaining chemistry with players who aren't playing actual games.

then what's chemistry on the game? The more you practice with some players the more you get to build some chemistry on the rink. If you don't practice, you don't get much chemistry, basing it on games only you will get low chemistry compared to the one you get on practices.
Both practices and games makes a team stronger since they can get chemistry faster. Without one of them it will be normal.

Except the practices in PPM aren't like real life.
Consider a practice like a classroom lesson. You only learn one attribute because they only teach one thing (or think of it as 1-on-1 lessons on the ice).
If you want a full team practice, run a scrimmage... a.k.a. a friendly game.

I know they aren't like in real life, that's my point. They should be like RL.
Oh come on man. That's a stretch. Why put chemistry in practices? Then everyone practices together and chemistry is a joke.
Actually chemistry is kind of related to being together as a group already. Into some extent. After all chemistry self raises to 30% even when a given athlete do not play. Nothing to change IMO.
The idea is to not let the manager take advantage from it. It can get chemistry until 30% or something like that. It can even be some kind of changer, like the Career Longevity on a player. The more you train, the more you have to multiply for experience on every match.
It could be like 1,1 1,2 1,3 1,4 etc. when you play a game and many players have been part of the same trainning, then you get to multiply the exp you get from that game to 1,6 or something.
It doesn't have to be at the same level as the game exp.

Why do you want it? If you need chem for players, let them play friendly games.
