Ok, that makes more sense. We had heat warnings and mid 30s (with humidity) at 8am. It was like 27 without humidex then. Insane weather. I'm staying inside all day today.
I'm almost glad of the heat. I got off work at noon today because its to hot to work in the greenhouses. Yay for half days!
I can't work today either because of the heat. So I'm working saturday morning instead (can't do tomorrow either).
No pay for me though.

When a team is folded, why not hold a draft in that league during which the remaining teams get to select the suddently unemployed players? That would be an interesting way to prevent good players from either going in an other country of simply disappearing. It would also give a chance to the league's weaker teams to get better (20th seed picks first and so on).
I haven't been around for a long time, and I feel like I am going to be playing catch up for quite a while, but that will make it fun. I agree with the OTR and what saint had to say. I got my team at the end of the 7th season, not even halfway through the 8th season and I am well above the OTR rating I ended with in season 7, and will hopefully continue winning and have a good OTR. If I don't get promotoed, and there are a few teams in my league who have missed a couple years, and their OTR and mine will be through the roof compared to the rest of the teams, and teams in higher divisions. What would be good, is a cap, say 150 for div IV, 300 for div III or something like that. no way a lower div team should be higher then the next divs teams. Other then that, I really like this game, lots of fun, and the people who are playing it have been very helpful and friendly.
I also want the ratio build to change, each stat should factor into every position. if you want a playmaker he is high passing, you want a shut down guy, put big points into defense and hitting or something. you want a bret hull player, just throw everything into shooting. I think that would be a lot better then ratio builds that trump everything.
I think trading in general should be implemented, I know how it could be exploited, but they'd check it the same as the market, and yes, it's based on a European style of hockey league, but it doesn't seem like hockey without those big trades. Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned (22 pages to go through.. blahh) but rivals. Have a few teams that when playing them, you'd get the same derby advantages attendance wise, and a higher OTR boost if you win. Lastly, I think that dispersal idea is a good one, a lot of the times, if you have a team fold in Div. II, it's 500+ OR players going down the drain. Sad.
Yeah, having players that are two way forwards, defensemen that quarterback the PP, general skilled players, enforcers. Right now, it seems that Defensemen are made to just play D, Centers to just pass, and wingers to finish plays off, and create on the powerplay. Obviously it's not exactly like that, but it's too, as others have mentioned, robotic. I wanna face teams, with reputations such as Philly, Boston, tough teams, or teams that rely on their scoring threats.
I have a question about the 'shooting' attribute in hockey..
My team is kind of lacking in the 'shooting' strength because I didn't think of it as that important before. But now I'm seeing teams at the same level as me with higher shooting ratings and I'm getting worried because I can only overcome that by buying new players with better shooting or train the shooting att...
I'm also screwed that about half of my players have crappy shooting qualities..
What should I do??

Either fast train your player ASAP or buy new players with above average shooting. There's really no other options.
ok i guess there are no choices other than that.. I was wondering, about which range would each players' shooting rating have to be to translate into the Team Shooting rating of like 40-50?
Almost. Shooting is a function of W, C and D. The weight towards calculating the shooting ability of the team is W then C then D. I don't remember the exact values.
