well, if a player can train accordingly to whomever he's playing at the moment's team, weaker teams can loan their prospects to stronger teams to train faster, and i feel like that's going to be abused. what if you still have to pay for your player and he counts as one of your contract? and then the lender won't be able to find a 40+ player tax loophole
You're right, that's a problem.
Got to close that loophole, yes. I suppose it would be a means of alleviating the 40+ player tax. But it might destroy player sales. Especially for veterans with free agency approaching.

So make it so each manager can have two teams, at the price of 100,000,000? An AI affiliate would keep managers focus on their actual team which is why I didn't suggest user controlled affiliates.
- I don't care about my prospects experience. I already said why I don't want to play them in friendlies. I just believe it's unrealistic and unsignificant how prospects develop
right now. They don't have to play any games as they will get better training for resting.
- The experience factor is to make up for the training penalty prospects will recieve for playing in the AI league, but those players will be better if the exp bonus is worth it (not exactly 12%, some testing would be required)

Not every team deserves to have an affiliate. Small franchises have no use for them, nor is it realistic for a start-up franchise to have such a resource.
However, they'd be of great benefit to bigger franchises, hence the proposed 100,000,000 start up fee.
- expand player max from 40 to 80 (without taxation)
- can keep and train more prospects, but at the reduced training rate of the low level facilities of the farm team.
I don't want to track my players on a randomly managed team, but I'd keep an eye on the possibility of starting up a farm team.
But this is all sort of moot since the people who actually run the game don't take much, if any, input from this forum.

Well relative to the experience of the franchise I would agree. Older teams would deserve a slight advantage over new teams and an affiliate would provide such an advantage.
I like the idea of seeing my prospects improve on another team, and then once they are ready adding them to my own roster. It adds a hype to the prospects. Also guys with low quality may be more useful as they could just develop in the weaker league for a very long time, and gain an amount of experience that would allow them to be useful as depth players, as experience doesn't determine salary... right?

I don't think the website would want to spend the resources to add any type of affiliate anyways. Only time I could see them adding it in, is if the popularity of the site starts to drop. I hope that doesn't happen.
Think of all the 3* prospects you've turned away. I could have easily filled a 40man roster by now.
If you've got a propack, you an auto-train and not pay any attention to your roster. I could run a team of 500 players with the auto-train feature.

Yeah, me too.
Having limits keeps us in check.
I wouldn't mind seeing the roster max set at 44 instead of 44.
Think about it, 44 is two whole teams worth of players. You shouldn't have more than that.

You make a good point, and I do use friendlies as a means of developing my prospects in the same way that I would a farm team.
Just brainstorming in response to unbelievable name's idea.

Personally I think a roster size should be between 25 and 30. Bit more of a challenge to manage the team. The comment about giving the experienced teams a slight advantage is a joke. Game already highly favors experienced teams. Not saying it is wrong but that is how it is.
If that were the case, then developing prospects would be next to impossible.
...Your comment is a joke because clearly you do not realise there have been changes made to the game (and will continue to be) that allow new teams to catch up. We will see this over the next few season.
There are still no teams in DIV 1.1 that didn't not start in the first season, In fact 17 teams out of 20 in that division started when the game launched, the 3 other teams all were started the same season, 14, 98 and 113 days behind. The teams 98 and 113 days behind are both in there first season of I.1. So it really mostly about how long you have been in the game, we are now in season 8, 802 days after the game has started and thats the gap. Hard to say people have been playing for along time don't have it good enough
