Pardon me for sticking my nose where it doesn't belong (I like to keep tabs on the upper divisions for my eventual ascension to them), but I feel compelled to say that that is a chicken-shit move by Classic.
It may be better for the team in the long-run, but throwing a chance at a division title out the window is not something you do. Karma now dictates that Classic's top players succumb to career ending injuries and that the team never gets another shot to win division II-2.

I will admit it crossed my mind to stay in II.2 after last season. But ultimately it was the right decision to move up. It may hurt the OTR, but it certainly is the right move financially and morally.
I should have stayed down 1 more season myself.
It's a viable strategy. I still wouldn't mind if Classic's team blew up on a bus then I would probably place 1 better spot next season hahah

If I have a shot at moving up next year, I'll ice the best team I can and send them out with to play with intensity. My goal is to compete with the best and to win against the best. Competing in division I-1 is more prestigious than winning division II-2 and competing in division II-2 is more prestigious than winning division III-11.

There is a team in div3 or div4 that intentionally got relegated so they could win and move back up. They went 37-1 in the season only to lose in the second round of playoffs.
is not the first time i make this move and yes it work , i have a good team but its nothing against top div 1.1 . If like u said your goal its to compete and u get crush each time. u not really in position to compete! that my point. ( and sorry for my english .... no im not perfect LOLLL)
