I believe he was. Some of the game mechanics are just dumb. Home ice shouldn’t mean double the shots.
Eh, I've got a few good players in training camp, and the ones that played are dead tired (61-62 average) at this point. It's been a rougher season energy-wise, somehow. And I can't seem to win anything that is not guaranteed these days in any sports anyway.
I just hope the bad luck doesn't follow me into the NT. Handball starts the qualification games tomorrow xD

At the end of the day this game is imperfect. That is not news. But the reason i have played and continue is for all its strengths. Shot count is just that. At the end of the season, home and away, all is equal. Who grasps energy, tactics, finances better will ultimately win. This game is great! And Merry Christmas!
I agree. This game is designed to have a "random" element. While many things should and could be likely, ALL things must be possible. I recently lost a game where my chances of winning were calculated by all the various standards to be at a 99% win for me. Even the worst teams need a small chance to win. Predictability would be eternally boring which in turn would make this game eternally boring. Random solutions keep things interesting. Best of the season to all!!
We've been over this many times. Remember, hockey is one of the least predictable sports. I think the "problem" here is that the results are too predicable. I mean, you have teams net 35-36 wins in a 38-game season - that just never happens in the NHL. And when a team gets real close ('18-'19 TB), it isn't uncommon for them to flop come playoffs.
There I never as much of a talent gap in the NHL as what we can see in here.
You are absolutely correct. And that is also part of the problem. But that is spawned from the economics of the game. There's no way you should be able to afford a full roster of NT players. 5-10 good players, then depth/role guys. But there's not such thing as that here.
Well, there are "corrective" systems in place in ppm, but like in everything ppm, it takes a loooooooong time. Teams are catching up to the best ones, but it is so long... especially in a playing field where some teams have been gathering money and building infrastructures since ssn 1 and others much later. Stronger corrective systems would have made it more interesting... the UFA market does that a little bit, but not enough. Too many teams can stockpile enough money to make sure UFAs won't be an issue.
Case in point, I am sitting here with 150M in my bank account, and I keep getting outbid for the best players. Teams with the biggest bank accounts have insance amounts by now. I've seen a team bid over 500M at once (on multiple players).
Another important game, another dub. Currently climbed into 5th. Hoping I can slot into 4th, but not critical - avoiding top-3 in round 1 is a good start.
You're only there because my guys are not OT warriors!
For now.
Considering I'm going against mandalorian, fleur de lys, reflex and WW in my last 4 games, I'm probably dropping to 8th or 9th anyway xD
What the hell kind of end of season calendar is this $h*(?! lol

Ya I am not a fan of the way PPM does schedules. Because it is based on team ID, and older teams tend to be stronger, you typical run the gauntlet all at once. For me it is early in the cycle... so I end with opponents typically outside the big 3 or 4.
