Thanks. So long as I'm top-4, that's all that matters. The top-4 (at most) tend to be stronger by a noticeable margin (see examples below). The playoffs will run through two of those three teams. So long as you can avoid them in round 1, the rest is a wash in my opinion. So you're in good shape. Whether you're 2 or 3, home ice is likely akin to the "random" effect.
Season 33: 107, 92, 91, 85, 76, ...
Season 32: 105, 88, 81, 86, 83, ...
Season 31: 104, 100, 85, 82, 79, ...

Got my lineup planned for next season. Be prepared for a much weaker RCR. Look for multiple now-18-year-old players to feature in the lineup. Sub-400 prime is scary for I.1!
Good luck! That’ll set you up well for the future though.
Today was most likely my last opportunity at putting a W on the board. As it stands, it is without surprise that I will go back to the second tier to prepare for a comeback. In my first run in I.1, in season 28, I managed to rack up 19 points only on the season.
This time around, while generally out matched, we managed quite a few wins against stronger opponents and gathered 29 points.
My plan will make my team younger and much cheaper. Hopefully next time I play I.1, I will be more competitive and will stick for good this time.

I think you'll stick the next trip up. You're doing all the right things. Keep at it!
Meanwhile, I'm putting everything. EVERYTHING I have into making the playoffs... Anyone wants to do a contest of the least amount of energy remaining going into said playoffs? (but hey, at least I am sure to finish 8th both times xD)
Your schedule is somewhat favourable though. You (8th) play:
@ 4th
v 5th
@ 9th
v 20th
@ 13th
@ 6th
v 12th
May be best to tank the next two to save energy, and make sure you win vs the rest... especially vs 9th who has almost an identical opponent list with @ 13th, @ 20th, v 8th, @ 6th, v 12th, @ 10th, v 17th - with 10 and 17 replacing your 4 and 5. It is an uphill battle and you'll likely need some help.

If you get 8th, that opens up 5th. I think Kroko would be fine with that.
Warriors and Infidels (and maybe Lions) are the real competition.

Starting my 15 year old goalie today against you. Midway through the first, 0-0, shots are 10-5 for me. Will update post at the end of the game.
Edit: I think I hit tactics since the shot imbalance ballooned in the 2nd. I also switched out goalies heading into the third despite stopping 9 of 9 - could've had his first career shutout! Not intended, but I didn't change those tactical settings. Whoops.

Ouch! The same guy scored two late goals to win. That stings. At least you've basically locked a top-3 spot.
Yeah, I couldn’t believe it. Don’t know what my goalie was doing. Shoulda started my youngster lol.
And true. I was just really hoping for first lol.
