So, question for you guys (those who actually read the forums)...
At what point would you recommend I start conserving energy at the expense of a higher playoff position? Home ice would be nice in round 1, sure, but I doubt I can stick it.

The deed is done. Training camp 1 started. The Raging Pigs are the lucky team thanks to drawing in between road games @ Strippers and @ Les Sang.
I rested my top-5 today and was thoroughly pleased with a 5-0 win. Neri played great and will get Wednesday's game as a result.
Is it just me or the save % of the goalies in our league is kinda high? It's been on the raise for a few seasons now.

I think that is the case. Keep in mind, you have some elite goalies and many not-so-elite players.
In our league, the averages are as follows* (strengths):
Goa - 254.8
Def - 280.5
Off - 255.9
Sho - 178.8
Tot - 243.0
Which is likely the root cause of the high sv% numbers (good Goa, great Def, poor Sho).
*Note: These values are lower than normal due to weaker energy (don't think shooting is effected) and teams playing rookie lineups - as was the case with mine today.

Guys in camp. Starting goalie with the night off. Visiting 3rd place [hockey_team=12688]and roll through with a 4-1 win and shots 44-18 in my favour.

Edit: Looks like Strippers didn't field a full-strength lineup. Not sure the reasoning/logic on that one. I'll take the win though! 4 goals on Tierney including 3/4 on the PP!
