i think one big super cup

edit: in 14 weeks of knockout there can be more than 16k of teams

I'm not sure what to say exactly. On one hand it is good, on other bad..

(+): European competition for lower league teams, brings excitement of competing to wider circle of people.

(-): Why did you messed up "offseason". That was perfect time to travel your team to exotic destination and have some extra training %.

At this point we dont have enough info, how did PPM team imagined it to be. We'll wait and see.

I remember, but teams participating, I am sure, had "two weeks training camp". I know it is hard to sqeeze all these games in a 112 days long year

It is basically good idea that brings strategic planning for training camps.

But problem for this year is late announcement. Some teams would manage camps earlier this season if they knew it for this cup.

I think it's definitely a good idea to have something between the seasons. And it adds some spice to the lower leagues, too. Having an additional cup and possible international competitions need managers to plan their season more thoroughly.

The only thing that really bothers me is that this is announced so shortly (if it starts this season). My plans are set: I will most likely have to play promotion matches and want to send my players to two training camps afterwards. Not to mention the players that I want to sell at the end of the season. So most likely a C-Team would have to play the league cup.

I'm sorry novakoni, I dont consider TC as part of "strategic" planing. And dont think RL teams are plannig TC like PPM.

Subs, energy spending, style of play, that kind of things.

Well, it's ok - I'm just saying: anything that involves little more strategy is good - for my opinion.

In RL - players have 2 (or more) weeks free from practice

In RL football there was InterToto Cup - as I know teams that participate was pretty much shorten on preparation for new season. It's on them if they even want to participate.

But if you look RL - friendly games could be part of the training camp (preparation for new season). So, maybe players could play games and be in camp at same time

There is many other things (for me more important) that doesn't look like RL football.
