Wow, Mountain Yetis have their streak ended by an un-manned Cigars team?

Low on the road is killer.

Yeah, but the Cigars are in effect a no-name team. Although they did improve the play of nonamers this year I guess.

Checking the team strengths... I could totally believe the Yetis would have trouble scoring (they have 20 in shooting vs the Cigars' 24-strength goaltending). But giving up three goals to an offense that bad must have him throwing his hands up.

Low/Normal shouldn't make a big difference when you consider how far apart the teams are in strength -- but I got completely outplayed by a weaker (in strength) team today too who played me on Normal. *shrug*

In fact the Foresters, who beat me, seem way too weak to be doing so well -- probably because they're playing all their games on Normal, so they'll putter out later on.

I can't complain TOO badly though -- after a rough start, the Foresters ended my 5-game win streak.

The fact that I went "Breaking Up of Play" vs. Offensive may have had something to do with the bad effort.

I lose 9-7 to the Pitts Pirates...eventually these guys who are playing on Normal will be bounced from the playoffs...it's a marathon, not a sprint (at least thats what I keep telling myself).

BTW, where the HELL is my goaltending!?!?!?!? I gave up 9 freaking goals with my #1 guy who has a 107 Goalie attribute. Freaking unreal.

Fellas I've sold off some players trying to get an IMPACT player and just when I think I'll get a guy for $4M the price jumps to $8M in teh final minute or two...very frustrating.

BTW I'm selling a very intriguing prospect and now that I'm sober I regret it....Jeremy Goss OR 230 Ave Q 83% Goal 40 Def 64 Off 28 Sho 33 Pass 23 Teq 25 Agg 17....I think I screwed up. What do you think?

Shocked Yetis lost...

Just stole Christian Keust off the market...now I'm happy, upgraded my weakest position (LW).

What a strange prospect you have there. Would make a nearly perfect goalie, or a perfect winger, except it would take forever to train him up. His weakest qualities by far are in Defense, ironically, where he'd be passable at best.

I would sell him too. His 3 defensive stats only add up to 105, and his OR is 232 haha.

I rarely pay for talent, but I found a Left D-Man for $5.75M who I couldn't pass up. At 22 he's on the older side, but still 4/6 Longevity and high quality.

And I'm so short on Left Defensemen that he was worth the money.

My Goss kid has 6/6 longevity left so if somebody wanted to sit and train him for a season or two he would be a monster...he has 99Q for most of the attributes and the only low one is 66Q for Agg.

I also hate to pay for players but if I see a guy who can help then I go after him...and I've been selling alot of players lately so in my mind I'm swapping my spare parts for guys I can actually use.

Random fact: As of this morning I have 23 players with a 200+ OR. A couple more have 196-199, are your rosters starting to look like that anow that we're into season 3? I still need a superstar goalie, need to pull one this week

I currently have 19 players with a 200+ OR and 7 more that are between 190-199. So are rosters are about the same moving into season 3.
