Im also at that point, where i need to buy 5 new fresh players, but cant, because i need the money to keep my RFA. Recently i had to drop 22M just to keep my starting goalie.

That Psychos game would make me quit if I was him.

They must have made some changes, I always had a full arena for every league game and now my last one was around 10k. Looks like we'll have some adapting to do. At least it makes the game more interesting. I have some other odd things happening that we're completely different than past years.

It looks like the United States just passed Finland, though I have no idea how there are nearly 14,000 registered managers in the United States.

Yep, it doesn't count team registrations, it's just when you make an account on the website. When you consider how many 1 exp teams fold every day, plus how many people make an account and don't even make a team... it's probably accurate.

So how do you guys feel about the new draft system coming up? To me, it sounds like there is no benefit to having higher facilities in this area? Maybe I am missing the boat, but it sure seems that way........

I like that they are trying something new. We'll have to wait and see if it works well.

There is a benefit to having higher SA in weeks 4 and 12. "In the first type, the team with the best academy has the biggest chance to pick first. This type of draft takes place in weeks 4 and 12."

There is at least some benefit for teams with weaker or stronger facilities. Though I don't like that the teams with better sports academies get higher bids in two drafts, it sort of makes sense. Since facilities are relative, for a team like my team, I will get a good draft spot in two drafts this year, and if I end up back in one of the division II leagues next year, as I improve my facilities this season, I will get a good draft spot in the other two drafts next season. This does penalize some of the teams that managed to put together a good group of players that can do fairly well in I.1 who have not focused as much on facilities though. There was also something about more bids.

Considering how it is basically impossible for newer teams to become competitive with older teams except as the older teams fold or the newer teams spend more seasons catching up than have been played so far, I like the small bonus to teams with weaker teams, though I of course will benefit.

A good HR department will help with the scouting. I'm a little bit worried that I will have to divert my scout from scouting for the national team though.

I also hope that there will be more than a handful of worthwhile players in each draft. If after the first 5 players, there are only 2 star 200 OR players, people are going to lose interest really fast. On the other hand, this could be a chance for some of the weaker teams to get access to players they otherwise wouldn't see more than once every two seasons.

In any case, whether or not the draft actually helps anyone's team, drafts are at least fun to do.

Will there be a draft lottery, or the order will be based on current team standings?

My initial reaction is that it probably devalues a highly built Sports Academy, as the quality of players you get will have less to do with your facilities in the drafts.

My biggest concern is that, from what I understand, if you don't have a Pro Pack, there is no way to set a draft order. So if you aren't available to be online for the draft time, you are just autodrafted random players.

Seems like it could be fun though.

I believe there was supposed to be a draft lottery to alter the rankings somewhat.

Only 2 of 4 of the drafts are based on reverse team standings. The other 2 are based on having the highest level sports academy.

You guys are misinformed about a couple aspects of the draft:

1) You don't see a player's OR until after they get to your team because their attributes aren't generated until they arrive. The attributes they get will depend on your Youth Training level.

2) Draft player scouting uses a separate queue from regular scouting.
